Might have no access to a computer for 2-3 days or so. NPC Murgan or do whatever as needed. Will be back soonish, I hope :)

It looks like I am not to be homeless just yet, after all. I can keep posting for a bit.
Thanks for NPCing me:)

FYI, work is kicking my ass, and will continue to kick my ass for about the next three weeks, so my posting may be a bit spurradic. I am still here, however, and will keep up with you guys as best I can.
Hey guys, glad to see this game still going. As my sig now says, sorry I wandered off. I haven't read through the threads (and have no intention of reasserting myself into this game, that would hardly be fair after the work that's been done since I left), but how's it going?
A note to the DM here, I was making a complete map of area A in MapTools before the fan got hit, if you want I can send it to you. Not sure if you're using MapTools, but I think my work is pretty badass if I say so myself.
If it's not, I'll use one of the zombies. Or her chain vest, or something, though I'd prefer not to use anything valuable.

Hey Archwizard, welcome back to the land of the living! Nice to hear from you too, Zerter, I hope life is treating you both well enough.
Archwizard, your maps were Amazing, and I'd love to get access to them. I've got the map tool, but it proved somewhat beyond my technical capabilities to work with efficiently.
@Sucrose and SlyJonny,
Meste's body is largely cleaned down to the bone. There is still sufficient cartalidge and tendon to hold most of it togather, however, so it will retain its shape as you drag it around... Mostly. It's got chunks of the mold still growing on it in several places too, but Fredric and Mathos will let you know that it's not enough to be any real danger. It weighs about 12 lbs, so it should be sufficient to trigger the plate.
This is indeed a quite fascinating trap series. My questions:
1.) Can we use the same skill for each of the challenges?
2.) Does the standard double-DC for standing Jumps apply to the gauntlet? If so, which components could one reasonably get a running start to one's jump on? I could see it working for the start, maybe spear trap (you leap through the swinging blades at exactly the right instant), probably not the pitfall (since you come to a stop on it), probably the fireball area, and possibly the last two points.

I vote we check the rest of this section first, though.

Double DC for standing jumps is in effect. You can run for the Swinging Blades, but you'll have to stop and start for the Spears and Pitfall. The Fireball and Chomper you can run, but you'll have to stop and start for the Buzz Saws.
Encumbrance shall add a cumulative +2 DC modifier for each level of encumbrance. (i.e. Light Load: +0, Med. Load:+2, Max Load:+4)
You may use the same skill for each trap, or any combination of skills appropriate to the situation as you see it. Just make sure you provide an apt description for how you used that particular skill for that situation after you make your rolls.
Rule of thumb, if you can get me to buy it, it'll work.
Blast. Well, Kulkav has a tower shield: could we apply its shield bonus to his attempts to get past the weapon-based traps (swinging blades, spears, buzz saws), and avoid taking a penalty to his attack rolls, if that's the check he opts to use, since the goal is purely to get past, rather than actually attacking the traps?

Let's table that until we level up. I find it awesome but intimidating :P
Plus, next level I get a psicrystal and could send it over to scout for us. We'll likely emerge weakened on the either side, it'll be good to have bolt holes already scouted.

Hm; fair enough. If we can find a way past the buzz saws, I think that Kulkav has a very good chance of getting past the rest of it even now. However, the possible penalty for failure is a bit too steep for me to go in when he's got a 40% failure rate against the buzz saws.
