My work's one isn't up yet Pika (*cough*oractuallydoneyet*cough*) but the theme is your normal avatar doing your job or a job you'd like to do. My one will be The Succubus in a nurse's uniform, for example.

I certainly wouldn't do it solely for the sake of my avatar, though it would be a huge disappointment (especially as I promoted the idea after it was suggested), but there are at least two avatarists I know of that have a huge backlog and haven't finished many avatars for various people.
