Zwei wanders the halls, carrying the vampire.

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley stands up, too, and reaches for Ally's hand. "Ally, I'm sure it was just a coincidence."

[C'nor]

[Roof]

Karyana looks rather annoyed at her reaction.

"I ran into him at HALO, and yelled at him for trying to kill you, at which point he offered to confirm he hadn't in a truth zone."

[Forest 2]

Karyana snuggles close to Zwei, grinning.

[FireFox]

[Roof]

Now she looks confused. Wait... HALO? I thought he was staying in GLoG, with that brunette mistress named Quinn?

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley looks confused as well, and stands back just a little to let Ally and Karyana talk.

[C'nor]

[Roof]

"I don't know. I ran into him and his wife in HALO. I don't know anything about him staying in GLoG, nor did I know Quinn was his mistress."

[FireFox]

[Roof]

Ally starts pacing. I knew he was up to something... In GLoG he just seems to be interested in raising his family there, so he must do all of his Evil stuff in HALO...

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley looks more confused now, but keeps silent.

[C'nor]

[Roof]

Karyana starts to laugh.

"Ally, think about what you just said. If he's as smart as you say, why would he be doing Evil stuff in HALO? Isn't that sort of like, say, trying to run a charity from AMEN?"

[FireFox]

[Roof]

When you were getting so chummy with him, did he happen to tell you about all of the Selinite villages he destroyed? Or how many Deities he has murdered? He is the greatest liar in the world. I shouldn't be surprised to hear that he's won you over to his side. Ally glares at the vampire.

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley bites her lip, looking a little conflicted. She backs up a few steps.

[C'nor]

[Roof]

Karyana glares back, her eyes starting to go orange.

"I just pointed out that, considering you told me that he was smart enough to get around three to five deities at once, in their own realm, he probably wouldn't be stupid enough to mess with evil stuff in HALO. I said nothing about liking him, or anything similar."

[FireFox]

[Roof]

The thief starts backing up away from Karyana, quickly approaching the edge of the roof. Fine. I'll just go find him and make him tell me what he's up to. My God asked me to investigate him, so he must be doing something bad.

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley sees this, and starts to cast a wall of force where Ally's backing up, and gives a glare to Karyana. "Can we calm down for a second?"

[C'nor]

[Roof]

Karyana doesn't speak for a moment, her eyes changing back to purple.

"Look, Ally, doesn't investigation imply uncertainty? I'm not saying he isn't, but you're making assumptions that the evidence doesn't necessarily support.

Anyway, before we ended up getting so sidetracked, the main thing I wanted to tell you was that he offered to talk to us, and answer whatever questions you have."

[FireFox]

[Roof]

Ally hits the wall of force and tries to step around it without turning her back on Karyana. It's a trap. He'll just kill me and anyone else who knows what he's up to. But I'm going to talk to him anyway. I just want to get this stupid job done with.

[C'nor]

[Roof]

"If you feel that way, why not have the meeting be in Ashley's Dimension? I think you can trust her not to let him kill you, even if you won't trust me."

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

Ashley decides to offer an alternate solution. "Let me come with you. I can get you out of there if things get bad."

[FireFox]

[Roof]

No! It's too dangerous. I'll go by myself. Having her and Tobias alone together is a really bad idea.
And now she's trying to take the express route of the roof! She has her magic cloak to keep her from falling to her death, but she hasn't told them about it, so they might get the wrong impression.

[Rotting Baron]

[Roof]

As a matter of fact, Ashley does sense the magic in the cloak, but she can't guess what it actually does. Ally trying to jump off the roof gives her a hint or two, though.

"Ally, no!" And now Ashley is going to follow the thief off of the roof, casting a fly spell on herself.

[C'nor]

[Roof]

Karyana does indeed get the wrong impression, and leaps after Ally, tryin to catch the theif, spreading her wings as she does.

[FireFox]

[Freefall]

Ally plummets towards the ground, laughing her head off in exhilaration. She dodges away from the other women and activates the flight magic at the last second to land safely. Wow. That was fun. I can see why you like having wings, Karyana.

[Rotting Baron]

[Freefall -> Ground]

Ashley just looks at the thief. "Ally, I'm not letting you go to the Black Fox alone, you'll get killed for sure."

[C'nor]

[Ground]

Karyana waits, for the moment, rather confused by Ally.

[FireFox]

[Ground]

The thief's grin fades. If you come with me, you'll get killed too. Wouldn't want you to miss your wedding for something like that. Then she starts sprinting towards HALO, but can easily be followed. Or even beat to the base, if they teleport.

[Rotting Baron]

[Ground]

Ashley doesn't follow Ally. Instead, she withdraws a few things from her bag of holding. "I'm going to HALO. Don't follow me," she says to Karyana.

[C'nor]

[Ground]

"Fine. I won't follow you; I'll use the portal in my room."

At which her face goes blank for a moment, as she contacts Adrin.

[Rotting Baron]

[Ground]

Ashley shakes her head, just before teleporting to where she remembers HALO is.

((Deadtime.))

[C'nor]

[Ground]

Since nothing happened to stop it, Karyana is pulled back through Shadow to her room, and pops through the portal to HALO.

[Beans]

Zwei is asleep on the couch, sprawled in an unladylike... sprawl.
