And a reminder to those of you who always skip the first post in a new thread, the Mumble server fills up just about every other day now at peak times, and increasing the slots takes money. Donations actively being sought, talk to Djinn.

For those of you who don't use the Mumble server, umm, Nasus is great yeah.

It's been suggested more than any other title, had at least the second highest number of votes, and I liked it.

Oh, I'm mainly just messing with you.

I think the reason I favored the other is that the Sion quote one isn't as number dependent as the "We still surrender at XXV" one is. Sion could, for example, work for #26, but we can't surrender at 26.

I agree with Djinn, the surrender quote is better and can never be used again unless they release a new game mode with minimum surrender after 25...

Did this one really have the most votes? It seemed otherwise to me (though admittedly I didn't count).

You're kidding, right? That thing beat everything else by a landslide, counting at least 10 votes to Surrender's 3 (didn't finish it all the way, but I know that voting didn't occur much after that.)

Not that I care about the title, but... I really am not sure how anyone thought "the ahnuld" didn't win in terms of votes received.

As I said, I didn't count them up. It just seemed that way to me as I skimmed the thread.

Surrender 3? Surrender had like 7 or 8 votes. And like I said, it was the only time dependant one.

End total was 5-3 in favor of Ahnold. Not that I agree with the result, but I abstained, so my loss.

Still wondering if anyone knows a good way for Taric to transition from early support to mid-late Tanky DPS.

Also, should Kayle just build like a ranged AD carry and forget her lousy AP ratios altogether? Especially after Gunblade got meganerfed...

Uhm, boots + potions start as usual, I think CV is a bit silly so you should totally take Cleanse (you will never die unless you make really dumb mistakes), which is also slanted a bit more towards your tanky DPS role. If you need regen in lane, Philo Stone is your go to guy, but you want to be getting a Sheen because unless you're fed, even if you're trying to farm, whoever you're laning with is going to get more last hits than you by a long shot. After your Sheen, upgrade boots. Normally I recommend Mobility on Taric, but you're gonna be getting a Triforce, so pick up some Treads instead (in the rare occasion the enemy entirely lacks magic damage/CC first off, laugh, secondly, grab Stompers). Then you wanna finish your Triforce (Phage before Zeal). After that, CDR is a big must, so Shurelia's if you bought a Philo Stone, otherwise Frozen Heart/Spirit Visage are both strong picks. Then grab mostly health and defenses, GA is great, QSS also good. Don't expect to get much further than your first item after Triforce because you're Taric and you sure as heck can't farm.

Actually... that would work if you solo laned Taric, since AP taric doesn't really work to well (I bought 3 deathcaps once, yeah... its not as good as you think it is).

however, if you duo lane him as a support I have to say this because I am I want people to realize something: you don't farm if you play support (don't play him as support, but you'd better tell your team and be 100% prepared to get raged at in solo queue). If you play support start Faerie Charm 3 wards and 2 pots. Take CV Flash (after the Flash nerf you might want to consider Exhaust or Cleanse, right now flash is OP). Get Philo Stone/Heart of Gold. I like getting a Kage's Lucky Pick, but I'm also an idiot. Always have a slot for wards. Consider getting a Pick ward for dragon if you can't afford oracles. You will eventually need an oracles. Shurelias is an amazing support item. Another item to consider is Aegis. Will of the Ancients and Starks are more situational, but still very good.

If I was gonna go TankyDPS I'd probably get Philo Stone, Heart of Gold, Wits End, Shurelias, Triforce Late game.

So. Galio. Turns out he's hella fun and stuff. The standard build is tanky-AP: Mercs, Chalice, Banshee, GA and seasoning to taste. What are his damage items? RoA? Hat? Abyssal?

Abyssal is, obviously, one of the best Benefit-per-Gold item Galio can possibly get. Buy one. Other than that RoA, and Hat can both be decent, and even Rylai's can work. Those would be my likely choice for adding damage to Galio.

Oh right I should probably get my name on that summonner list. PM sent and reposted here for good measure.

Forum name: Geigan
Summoner name: Geigan
Server: NA

So I've been trying out Taric recently as my first support. Buying lots of wards(learning proper ward placement was interesting) and tracking enemy junglers with clairvoyence. Doing my best to babysit my carry though I tend to be more aggresive in the laning phase than I thought I'd end up being. Any tips for a burgeoning support? Build/laning/team fight role/any advice would be helpful.

Right now the best junglers:

For Ganking: Lee Sin, Nocturne, Nunu

For Control of the Jungle (Counter-jungling): Skarner, Lee Sin, Nunu, Udyr, Trundle

For Farming the Jungle: Skarner, Udyr, Olaf

If you want to influence a solo queue game heroes like Lee Sin are amazing because they allow both ganking and control. The reason Nunu sees little play anymore is because he used to be a lot better and he falls off hard late game. In Solo queue, that's bad because if you don't do exceptional early game you have to rely on pubbies.

Olaf is good but he requires a lot of farm. This is the opposite problem of Nunu, you kinda have to hope that your team can survive early game so that your late game can be relevant. He is decent at dueling in the jungle, but vulnerable to early counterjungling from Nunu or Udyr or any other strong early game champions.

Notice how a lot of champions are in the "control" aspect. I'm not entirely sure how true, this is, but a lot of these are champions that are very good at fighting in the jungle, but don't have amazing ganking. Honestly a lot of champions in that "class" are probably just champions that don't have amazing farming or amazing ganking (trundle, for instance: his ganks are situationally some of the best. But other times they are very much Meh).

Oh, and my Extended Signature.

78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.

I started my first campaign outside of an abandoned mine, just as soon as a meteor storm from the moon hits.

Well, much depends. You can occasionally skip Chalice, for instance; I personally prefer laning him with Catalyst into early Banshee instead (which is obviously gold on him, giving you HP, MR for tankiness and offense, Mana for laning and fighting & the shield to make his ult harder to interrupt; he can e.g. use the ult against Udyr in Bear with Banshee) since Banshee is a more impactful midgame item and Catalyst generally gives you a steady stream of mana (though of course, in some lane match-ups you still want Chalice).

If enemies have lots of AD, he's still fine; I really like Frozen Heart on him. Though it means he might take a hit or two less in his ult, outside that the aura is golden and CDR is one of the best stats for him with his kit. Randuin's is also extremely reasonable, offering some HP which is kinda hard to itemize for on him outside straight HP or AP/HP items. Aegis is another obvious, solid option (giving significant amounts of MR too). Also, Shurelya's Reverie is pretty good on him to get the team in position for the Flash > Ult and getting some valuable HP and CDR. And obviously, late Voidstaff or Deathcap (or both!) is fine. And Abyssal has lots of value to him too as stated.

So yeah, build to taste but early Catalyst or Chalice is pretty essential for laning, and obviously you want to build more MR than Armor if possible (only prob is, his base MR is lousy 30 like with most true tanks so you have a lot to build; this is why I don't really consider him an "anti-mage tank" like he seems to be marketed). Overbuilding for his passive is obviously silly; if they have more AD than magical damage sources, you build Ninja Tabi and Armor items regardless of your passive. You still get some incidental MR (GA and Aegis are both fine for that) and can get like Abyssal or just AP items depending on your mood.
