In addition I can get an Eevee. You may suggest names and personalities for it (Remember it has D.I.D) You may also vote on what I evolve it into (Note Espeon and Umbreon will probably require the national dex) and whether I should box it or take it on the team
And what pokemon I should get from the game corner I can get one of Abra, Clefairy, Dratini, Scyther, and Porgyon. (Note the later it is, the less likely I can afford it.)

Growlithe: Zuko - An exiled pup of a pack leader. He is obsessed with proving to himself and the world that he can be a powerful fighter and leader, pushing himself to the edge if necessary. "Greatness comes at a price", as he says, and for him, the price is putting on a face of anger and rage to cover for the kind and loyal growlithe that he is underneath.
Also, considering Growlithe/Arcanine is my favorite pokemon, I do kind of want to see it in action...
Game Corner: My vote is for a Grumbles/Gramps Porygon. Their task in the afterlife: guardians of all computers in Johto [or whatever region we are in now], "to mend and defend" [reboot reference in case nobody here has seen it]
If you cannot afford that, gun for a Dratini named Umbra, he/she is the child of one of Lance's Dragonites [selling the brand and all that], and wants to live up to and exceed their reputation. Very serious, no nonsense pokemon.
Eevee: [not sure on name]: A scientist taking after the tradition of asking a question such as "I wonder what would happen if I introduced Mustard gas into a chamber filled with Caterpie", and then doing exactly that, just to see what would happen. Into self experimentation as well, such as the time he decided to see what would happen if he exposed his foot to some depleted uranium cores he just happened to acquire [note: PAIN!]. Whatever he evolves into, it is largely because of his inquisitive mind and dedication to the job.

Seconding Sunspot. I really like the name and will steal it for something at some point.
For the corner I'm for either Porygon or Scyther, but I'm putting forth a personality for Dratini because why not?
Dratini: Paix, an actual pacifist. Doesn't like battles, but will fight in them because his master has commanded it of him.
Porygon: WHTRABT.obj, resents being created and wants to destroy all computers.
(cookie for anyone who knows the reference)
Scyther: 'Scythe,' used to be an assassin, and was very good at it. Thinks Melinda and her team will be...useful.
Eevee: Similar to mine, has multiple personality disorder. Was never named himself, but each personality has a name. Is scared of most of his personalities.
Vaporeon- Showers: Wants to flood the world
Flareon- Boosters: Violent pyromaniac
Jolteon- Thunders: Very laid back, wants to enjoy life
Espion- Eif: Ex-spy, believes he was fired after he discovered corruption in the league (even though that's impossible for him since he's only a personality in a mentally disturbed Eevee)
Umbreon- Blackout: Hates Electric types, believes that moving back to simpler times would do us good
Pick the personality that most benefits the team (that's what Melinda would do). Heck, roll a d6, and keep it an Eevee if you get a 1 until you can't stand writing all the personalities.

I like them both, but I'd say either Jango or Red Barron. Considering that flying around might be helpful, might want to go with Jango.
Yeah, Houndoom is one of my favorites as well. I am a fire pokemon fan. Arcanine, Ninetails, and Houndoom are amongst my favorite pokemon.
Growlithe: Tide - kind of tough, but mostly derp and friendly. Speaks in third person
Eevee: Flareon personality - HotShot : doesn't like water, a bit of a player.
Jolteon personality - Keton : a total nerd who likes to spout videogame trivia
Vaporeon perosonality - Ariel : adventurous, believes it will be the one to find the lost city of atlantus
Umbreon personality - Darth Vader : IT IS EVERYONES FATHER!!
Espeon personality - Koh : the face stealer
Leafeon/Glaceon - Fore and Shadow : angry that they will never come to be
I'd vote for Dratini at the game corner - Rainbow : a hippie who really wants to dance with pink fluffy unicorns one day
As for boxing:
Keep Growlithe. Box Machoke. Keep Jango, Jack, Biollante, Red Baron, and then when you get Eevee box either Jango or Thumbs (preferably Thumbs - I like Jango's rage) and then evolve Eevee into Vaporeon. If you get dratini, box Red Baron for it.
