Hi everyone!
Now, first of all, I know that 'GONEitp' has been done once before. However, that didn't seem to last very long, and for all those who would want to know, I have gotten the permission (out of respect, though I guess I could have hypothetically made this without it) of the creator of the original RP.
Anyways, back to the subject: GONEitp! So, assuming this gets enough interest, I think the RP will go this way:
It will be based off the GONE series by Michael Grant. A brief description of the plot: suddenly, an odd, barely visible and completely solid barrier with a diamteter of 20 meters appears around Perdido Beach, California, and surrounding area, soon after some of the town's children start developping mysterious powers. At the same time as the barrier appears, everyone over the age of 15 disappears...
This RP will take place not in Perdido Beach, though, but in the (fictional) town of Lake Lucrane, Ontario. Geographically, it rests close to Georgian Bay and extremely close to Massasauga Provincial Park (to the north of Sans Souci, and to the south of Parry Sound), for those who are geographically interested.
Anyway, the premise of this RP is that in Lake Lucrane, after some children start developping odd powers, and at the exact same moment as in Perdido Beach, another barrier appears, just as mysteriously as the first. Just as that happens, everyone over the age of 15 disappears. Why? You'll all have to find out (don't worry, I do have a reason! )
So, the purpose of this thread is to see if anyone is interested in this concept. If you are, please post!
Seems very interesting, and I was in the first GONEitp, so count me in! ^_^
I have never read the books, though, and I will not get through my library of unread books in a while, so please excuse any naïve assumptions and ignorant errors I make.

Great! I'm happy you're on board.
Oh, don't worry - I'm not sure how mainstream the series is, so I can't expect everyone to be completely familiar. Anyways, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Yay!
I don't know if it says anything about how mainstream it is, but I actually thought it was an original setting at first last time.

Hiya, Iceman! Of course we want to have you! Icemen are tax-deductible!
Well, Keveak, Iceman, and Waterpenguin, if you guys know anyone who you think might enjoy this, you could do me a favour and PM them about it, if you would be so kind.
Otherwise, I guess we'll just have to wait until some more people get on board.
