The Capture Styler has many functions, with the main one being capturing Pokémon. Other functions include the Ranger Browser, the Ranger's equivalent to the Pokédex...

Is this a typo btw?

Part Of The Team Ranger Feature
Prerequisites: Ranger, a Companion that has been with you for two months.
One Time Use Only - After taking Give it Your All, you gain one additional use, per 10 levels gained.
Target: Your Companion that has been with you for at least a month.
Effect: Spend one hour talking and negotiating with the target and roll 1d100, subtracting half of your
Charisma stat from the roll. If you roll under the pokemon’s Loyalty multiplied by 10, then the target will agree to being captured by you. After capturing, the pokemon is still considered your Companion for the purposes of features. You may designate a new Companion as if the previous one had been released without removing the Companion title from the target. If Part of The Team fails, its use is not depleted.

Oh and in the item section I would like to quote this.

Ranger Stylers have 10 units of energy. A Ranger who activates their Styler uses one unit of energy and then may make a Restraint roll by rolling 1d100. If the roll is lower then the pokemon’s capture rate +25, the pokemon is restrained. At this point, the Feature they used the Styler with will dictate what happens to the restrained pokemon.

Meaning my restraint roll is 1d100-10 vs Capture Rate +25

Yes, it should read "Part of the Team."

EDIT: I don't see a add 25 to the Capture Check. You can subtract 10 from roll, as core.

And you don't see the add 25? Not core? I quoted it from the book...go down to the item section...Bah, let me get the page number for you. It IS core. The feature subtracts 10 from my roll. The sytler itself adds 25 to the capture rate.

Page Number: 176 in the first paragraph on the right column.

I'm guessing that is something they forgot to edit out. Once upon a time Rangers didn't subtract from their rolls. I'm saying that doesn't exist as -35 to a classes base feature is just ridiculous. You get -10.

Damn... But it's not a -35. It's a -10 to my feature and a +25 to the pokemon's capture rate :P

Look at it this way. It's both an item AND a class feature combined :P

Which means I can restrain legendaries :P
