That being said, as interesting as bred Pokemon are, I am really more interested in raising my current Pokemon to at least their next evolutionary stage before adding anyone else to my line-up. Not that Eihwaz wouldn't mind a playmate.
Wow, a critical miss followed by a critical hit. The damage is pretty severe. 128 base, resisted by 12, means 116 damage. And he has like 43 max. Whoof.

I am so sorry, I spent the lat ten minutes working out a way to save him, but you had allready rolled death save throws when I got back(it involved chansys and intercepts, oh what the heck I will still do it) I was shocked because that surskit has has a lower defense stat then.. well his defence is low enough that i was woryed about him being knocked out in 1 turn.[/spoiler]
Hey, that's how the dice roll! And you're right, high is bad. So Larvitar would be dead, if it wasn't for the magical intercept of Healing Wish. That's a funny way to start out the campaign, I guess.
Edit: And then I miss. DICE GODS HATE ME :P

...Maybe a house rule can be put in place? Something like if your pokemon (or if your trainer) would flat out die from one attack, you can roll accuracy to take enough of the damage (if viable-ie, would die from fall, being flung back into a wall) to make it -just-below lethal? To give an example situation, let's use Doug's backstory. In it, Doug would die. Guanaco the Camerupt rolls accuracy to jump on the explosion and take the damage, leaving Doug at -99% health. The damage taken is so high, however, it causes Guanaco to need to roll a death saving throw himself-this is failed, thus the camerupt dies.
Non viable examples would be death by incineration, too far away, or getting physically torn apart.
On a side note, I think I will go ghost ace soon. Maybe swap shaman for it, since I haven't used any powers outside of zoopathy yet, if that's allowed, and if you're okay with me having already met the prereqs before the game, Reivax.

I believe Douglas, who is attempting to understand pokemon and also is attempting to become a doctor, is going to be drowning in jealousy at not one but two people who can talk to pokemon, one of which also can heal people without using herbs or such nonsense.
I know I shouldn't be mentioning this before it comes up, but that's a moment of realization that I'm really looking forward to having happen from a roleplay perspective

Now he just has to meet her :P Where is Douglas currently?

I was actually also waiting on the GM - in case an additional action should occur or at least pseudo confirmation to keep going. So I guess everyone is waiting for either a response, or possibly for additonal events to commence. :P
But eh, at this point I've posted.

All depends on where Rei is. I think the best method of dealing with this is for you to choke a bitch (sorry Present) and for Kantolin and myself to search for you. Easiest way to keep a game going when the DM's not around is PC interaction, after all.

Are you planning on continuing without a DM though?
We can continue for a little bit, to see if Rei pops back up and just happens to be busy around now. In the mean time, enjoy the party strife, and I'll get to that after the sparks begin flying.

Alrighty, if you guys are anywhere nearby finding me shouldn't be hard. I left a trail of derbies and the cries of "oh god my nuts" should help also.
