With an annoyed sigh, Aeon heads outside and crosses her arms. Due to recent events she would much prefer to get the job down and not waste time with the intruder anymore than possible. However, he clearly wasn't going to let it go, "Alright, aside from the no switch turning strategy into a battle of brutes, how is a no switch going to be balanced to the first person to send out their pokemon?" She ask wishing the stupid thing would just be over with.

Not let it go? She's the one who made the challenge in the first place! No matter. "Eh, force of habit. Common rule where I come from. You do not wish to disallow switch, we do not. It is unimportant to me. Please send out your first Pokémon."

Bullet's speed is 5. Also, he was handing you an advantage as a light sign of apology. If you had a good counter to Bullet, you could send it out and he would not be able to switch.

More or less. Douglas exhaled; he'd been worried. Gratefully, he plopped down on the chair - his ability to make it /seem/ like he was okay differed from how his leg actually felt. Truse, after a moment, pulled up a second chair and sat next to him.

"Of course I'll help out." Memories of his talk with Rayquazza still kind of shook him up a little, though.

As the battle looked like it was to begin, Douglas spoke to Tony. "From your suggestion, Tony, it sounded like it could at least delay interacting with these cultists long enough to focus on the gang for a bit. Is this true? If not, we may be able to do something with the police/rangers, but that's not as certain."

"Well, as bad as the cultists are for everything, the fact is we don't even know where to start, so we have some time to kill until we know what we're facing, at least."
He looks at Doug.
"You sure? This stuff'll be way outside your norm."

Your sheet isn't letting me look at it for some reason, so want to clarify species of your pokemon? Bullet is a Beldum if I recall? If not ignore the attack part of the post. We DO get xp for this right :P ? I'm honestly predicting a loss due to the fact that she's ALL psychic/dragon and my dragon isn't advanced enough for anything. Typing means I can't do much at this level due to no TMs or anything for fire.

"Whatever...Was just curious, I want to get it over with so no switch or whatever you want is fine." She says throwing the pokeball containing Tempus, "Got any problem with pokemon scan data? I scan yours, you can scan mine?" She ask tapping the pokedex on her belt to indicate what she meant.

She looked at the pokemon and nodded, knowing Tempus would know what to do.

The attack glance's off of Bullet's hard metal body. "It takes more than a light hit like that to knock me down." The Metang's body hums and courses with electricity as he slams a fist right back at the Gallade. Zachariah remains silent, giving his commands with telepathy.

I meant more the beldum line, so the attack is fine for both of us. Just meant that I didn't want to be tossing a fighting move at a ghost type and that I was right about steel/psychic

Aeon scans the metal pokemon before growling as her move was stopped. Luckily Tempus blocked the counter attack in turn with a quick evade.

"Good work. Double team." She ordered as she watched, "Let's try to keep the dodges going until we see an opening." She called out.

With a nod Gallade quickly jumped backwards and split into three copies.

The user makes three copies of themselves and places them into the encounter adjacent to the user. The user must place some sign under the token of the original copy to mark it as the original. If a copy is hit by a damaging Move, it is destroyed. If the original is hit by a damaging Move, all copies are destroyed. Any copy can perform a Move but the user is still only allowed one Move per turn. All copies may shift each turn. When the user and its copies are targeted by a Move, foes must roll +2 during Accuracy Check to hit for the remainder of the encounter. When a copy disappears, the user loses 1d6 HP. Do not apply weakness or resistance to HP lost. Do not apply stats to HP lost.

When he really thought about it, his head was somewhere around 'everyone here besides him can shoot fire or lightning or something'.

"I think you meant 'out of my league', heh. Still, putting my hands over my eyes and ears won't make problems go away."

He was thinking about his Camerupt... and wasn't exactly certain why. That was in no way a situation of him sitting on the side and watching and hoping things would work out rather than helping. But it was in his head nonetheless.

He massaged his leg. "I'll be sure not to slow the rest of you down." Not to mention he was hoping that someone who was more eager to be a diplomat would help, but he wasn't sure how to word that - and it didn't really need to be said anyway.

Truse crossed his arms, almost in contemplation.

Aeon watched the two pokemon each attack missing and each counter being dodged or deflected. The fight was an even match and with two pokemon so capable the fight might take a while.

"Your pokemon are as adept at evasions and strikes as mine are. Would a one on one suffice just so that we can not waste everyone's time?" Aeon asked with a sigh, "Clearly this is an equal match and we could be spending quite a bit of time with this dance of combat. With no clear upper hand for either of us we're not only going to be fighting hard, but holding back is going to be trickier and more dangerous."

She looked at Tempus and thought for a minute, "I don't prefer having this attack, but try a quick slash as opposed to a direct hit. Get the first tag at the very least even if it is weak."

Tempus nodded then jumped backwards before dashing past the pokemon quickly, hoping to land at least some strike, even a weak one.

Aeon hesitated seeing the new pokemon. She lifts her pokedex and scans it while trying to think of what to do. On one hand she'd be vastly limited and weakened with Tempus, but he was in great shape and a slow weakening might be best.

Finally she nods, it was only a two-on-two and with the clone still out there it would be in her advantage to drag this out and do as much as possible before she had to switch.

"Use your psychic powers." Aeon orders, "They might be limited, but every little bit helps."

Seeing as there was no AC roll for confuse ray, I hope a change of move will be okay. I realized that Confusion is a status condition here and would rather not risk killing Tempus with the extra 4d8 (maxes out at 64 extra damage) with if Hex hits.

"I doubt that, but nonetheless point for you." Aeon says returning the Gallade and sending out her Axew. "Congrats on finally taking out Tempus, he was my ace. That might actually turn this around." She says trying to figure out who to send out. Tempus had been her best and while she had other pokemon she trusted they weren't as strong as Tempus.

She looked at the creature as her mind pieced together things. It was clearly a ghost candle thing. Most likely it had fire abilities to compliment it's ghost powers. Neko would be mostly useless as if it could shoot fire then hit-and-run strikes at a distance would be useless. It ultimately came down to Draca or Custos.

She looked at the pokeball containing Custos. She had never used him for combat and a part of her didn't want to risk the loss by using a new friend. However, at the same time if she wanted to build trust she'd need to. She looked at the pokeball with Draca. He'd be able to resist any fire abilities launched at him and with his claws and various other tricks he'd be able to work powerfully both defensively and offensively, the downside was he wouldn't be able to drag out the fight.

She hesitated as she looked at each ball then back at the ghost. Custos probably wouldn't last long enough to do anything but try and blast the target down first, Axew would have to end it fast or risk defeat.

Finally she took a deep breath and threw out one of the pokeballs and Draca the Axew popped out. "Alright...end this fast buddy..." She mumbled.

As she watched the attack get thrown she let a small smile cross her face. "Continuing this would make not landing a fatal blow tricky..." She commented. "Unless you can take out Draca in one shot."

Aeon frowns, "If I throw my only ranged attack your friend might die..." She says. "Your friend doesn't look like he can take another blow." She says holding up a pokeball. "I'm not going to be responsible for the death of a pokemon I'm returning my pokemon and you can take that to mean whatever. Consider it a win, consider it a loss, whatever." She said returning Draca and heading back inside the center to heal.

The Litwick's flame burns even brighter for a minute. "Hey! I'm a Muking girl, bi-" Zachariah recalls Ambrule before the Mystic can respond to the comment, and rushes to catch up with the lady. "Not now. Bullet, behave or you're in the ball too." The Metang remains silent for once and quietly follows along.

"A draw is perfectly acceptable. You are a more adept trainer than I thought you to be. It is possible we got off to a bad start, and as we will be working together in the future I think that it would be smart to get on each other's good side. Might we start over? Hello, I'm Zachariah Frerin." He puts out a hand and does his best to smile.

Watching the battle come to an end he can't help but chuckle as he tells the psychic telepathically in a smug toneI told you so.

Nice battle miss Aeon. he informs her.

If I felt like being evil, Ambrule could have phased and reached an untouchable range and then laid waste with flame bursts while the Axew was helpless. Bullet would have resisted any move she used. And I still have both mons standing, just saying. It's a draw from the lack of conclusion, not from the numbers. And she's bluffing. Draca's only ranged move was Dragon Rage. Ambrule would be scarred up, but still in the land of the living.

Looks at the hand and hesitates. She didn't want to start something by being rude after calling the other man rude, but she had personal reasons for not liking physical contact with people she didn't know.

Uncomfortably she takes his hand and shakes it just to be friendly, before breaking contact quickly. "Thanks, I try. If I wasn't strong I'd be a poor avatar." She says calmly. Then she nods at the other man who had commented, "Thank you."

Zachariah nods. He heads into the Center to get Bullet and Ambrule healed up. "Well now that that is over, what is our first course of action?"
