Hmm... The hair on the big guy slightly resembles the hair of the "old" pyresopher in the opening pages. (I have doubts that he's really old, but just likes the appearance).
Still, looks like we're dealing with a Terasopher (Am I getting the right words?), maybe two, or maybe a Terasopher and a... another kind.

They didn't sway me -- mostly because I already had all the Humble Indie Bundles (except the first).

If you meant to say "monster sopher", then you're about correct. (Though it should really be Teratosopher.)
If you wanted to say "earth sopher", then it would be Geosopher. Maybe Terrasopher if you insist on mixing Greek and Latin, but then there would be Ignisophers instead of Pyrosophers.

I find it slightly confusing (and amusing) that this is apparently the first time they brought up their names and purpose for being there despite the fact that the Inn is half-destroyed

Maybe they were in disguise and decided to wait for a dramatic moment to reveal themselves? :3
Or maybe they just saw him and smashed their way in with the tentacles and punched him through the building! O.O
Authors who do this sort of thing should probably consult a classicist, just to avoid the butchering of these languages we see in most works. You can probably find a few at any given university or unemployment office.
Or you can just do this if you think you can pick the right definition out of a hundred false positives.

I've got the names for all the different kinds of sophers all prepared already, with the exception of space-sophers. Turns out the ancient Greeks aren't quite clear-cut on the concept of space as opposed to time! I'm thinking of going with Cosmosophy presently though!
I look forward to seeing his corpse pissed on by dogs.
Dogs have standards, so his corpse would remain unpissed on.
I look forward to seeing his bottom being handed to him and shoved so deep it's back in it's place. Yet, I predict he'll make a strategic retreat to torment our heroes a bit later.

Astro is stars, and agora is only "space" in the sense that a courtyard or marketplace is an "open space."
Cosmos actually means "order," and only means the universe because the Greek thinkers saw it as a sort of great orderly process. Regardless I'd probably go with cosmo- or astro- depending on just what kind of space theme you're going for. There's probably a more accurate term around somewhere, but you might lose recognizability if it isn't part of any English words.

I think "open space" probably fits best. So,I'm guessing Agorasopher?
Hey, that doesn't sound half bad. I'd certainly keep away from him, though, since I suffer from mild agoraphobia, which isn't as bad as my dementophobia, which isn't as bad as my arachnaphobia, which isn't as bad as my Aerophobia. I got a fair few other phobias, too.
Maybe Aero- is the word we're looking for, though. Isn't that... heights? no, Agorasopher is probably more accurate than Aerosopher.
Edit: fear of heights is Acrophobia, sorry. Aero is of drafts. I don't have Aerophobia.
And that would make a vertigo-manipulator an acrosopher.
