Are some elements more simple then others?
Easier to master in general or based off of personality?
So some people find fire easier to use then others
Or is it a flat line?
I.E Fire Easy, Light Hard
Whats the limit on of-a-kinds, or is it umlimited?
What a sec..

I just realised something: that tornado was inevitably pointed at the inn. It's probably even more destroyed then before.

But yes, I assume there's nothing standing there now.

Say, I just noticed something "odd" at the top of this page. Third Panel, if you count the blacked out one. Look at the fellow's Thaumacard.

It's... Melting away!

Nice touch.

I wonder if that's a bad thing. It could be that thaumacards are expendable to begin with, though that makes me wonder why Wendy was so excited to have just one. Perhaps the melting card is a side effect of the Stuttering Stranger being just that good. Or maybe 'sophers can get new cards more easily than "normal people."

I think I would personally like it if they -made- the cards. That would explain the rarity and why they wouldn't mind using them.

Ah, that answers the question of what to call him. You're doing good at answering questions at a good pace already, sorry that we can ask them faster than you can draw them.

Speaking of questions, any idea what's with Nomen's hat? Looks like some grinning... thing. Is it related to the appearance of the Ancestor's Elderspires?

Sorry, I should stop asking stuff.

Elagune, question on pronunciation... for whatever reason, it looked vaguely Italian to me, so I wondered: How is his name pronounced to you?

NO-men, No-MEN

Nes-SHO, Nes-SHE-o, Nes-KE-oh, or something different?

Also, Nomen looks like a pseudonym. Maybe sophers are only allowed to be male, and Nomen is actually a woman... no men, after all! Nonsense aside, I had one suggestion for a pun for later in the story:

A lovely little pastry shop that makes pastries that mimic the appearance of thaumacards: "The Filosopher."

Filo dough is a very thin (and rather difficult to work with, as it dries and tears quickly) pastry dough used in the preparation of baklava. Each thaumacard of a different discipline has a different flavor: pyrosopher "cards" get cinnamon, cryosopher "cards" get mint, and so on.

It seems JUST like something some entrepreneurial baker would do.

Holy carp! I really like that idea. I think I have the perfect place for it to appear too... You won't sue me if I put it into the comic, right?

Also, I'm not sure on the pronunciation. You guys can look it up though, since it's a real name (kinda?) and all.

My gut feeling is NOH-men NES-see-oh. Not sure why.

If it's Latin it'll be a hard C. Also be sure to separate the i (pronounced ee, not aye) from the o. NOmen NESki-o.

* (Classical) IPA: /ˈnoː.men ˈnes.ki.oː/

I agree not to sue you over this. I like helping, and the pun was just too great not to suggest!

I knew it looked familiar... some sort of art style that I may have seen on a totem pole before. I was just wondering if "the east" has a sort of native theme.

Also, why dose the No-man (thinking the vortigaunts from half-life, here) stutter? Is it just a lisp or is it due to some sort of physical trama?
