A surge of magic washes out from her, and the world goes grey everywhere within sixty feet of her. For a moment there is no sound, only a ringing silence. Then you hear her, all of you, whispering in your ear. Her words have no power over you, but you hear the magic in them all the same. "Be mine." Her voice is sad, and quiet, and resonant. "I can take your pain away."
The most hauntingly beautiful description of Rebuke Undead I've ever read. Bravo, you magnificent woman, you've done it again.

Watch it, if I keep getting compliments on my fluff I may just, uh... keep putting lots of effort into it?
Thank you. I really love Kaylee, and I find the concept of a Good person who is stained by very dark powers particularly interesting and lovely. If I can convey that feeling, then I've succeeded at roleplaying her.
I'm not sure Korack even has to do anything here but stand around and look impressed... .
So for now I think he's going to do just that, well and what he does pretty horribly... melee damage!
Once we rest I'll hopefully get him a better spell line up that corresponds better to this group. I mainly took a mix-max of stuff that I hoped would prove useful for whatever type of group I landed in.
Sorry if nature isn't the right category for the beasts...if it should be a Know: Religion roll, it goes up by 3 for another +1 to attack and damage. If it should be Planes, it goes down by 2 but the result stays the same. All of the other big knowledge categories are the same as Nature for me.
Sorry for my delay. Last week was midterms. This week I've been catching up on eBay auctions that I needed to ship and been dealing with the massive "first days of semester" homework. Posting IC now.

Now it's my turn, I have to ask... is there any way for us to know which ones are under Kaylee's control? I don't want to start burning friendlies.
They should, hopefully, immediately start attacking the uncontrolled zombies and be obvious because of that. I wish I could fluff a glowing aura around them, but that may go beyond the extent of the spell.
This board needs a "you're technically right but I still want to crawl into the fetal position and cry" emoticon.

Um. Why isn't the first zombie under my control anymore? I didn't Rebuke that one, I used Command Undead; the only way to break that spell is to attack or otherwise threaten it. Has anyone done that?
EDIT- Oh, and to clarify, are the rebuked zombies Cowering or Commanded? If they have 3 HD or less they should be commanded, unless I'm missing something.

The rebuked zombies are cowering. You're not missing anything there.
I had thought not to explain why Command Undead was broken, but I refer you to this line from the spell:
Quote:
Any act by you or your apparent allies that threatens the commanded undead (regardless of its Intelligence) breaks the spell.
...and to the radius of Thoden's aura.
