So um... craaaaaaap. Those who don't know, my flight got cancelled, so I'm not actually leaving until the morning. But I can deal with that. Less easy to deal with is this: I've checked trains, buses and flights, and there's no way for me to get from Sydney to Sawtell/Coffs Harbour the same day as I arrive in Sydney.
So now I'm starting to get worried
Yikes, I hope it'll all work out. I guess you'd have to do an extended wait at the airport once you arrive until you can get on the public transport the next day... Is there more complexity to it than that?

Yeah, when I phoned her to make sure she was up at 7:30, she'd already showered. And then she texted me at about 9 complaining about australian accents, and again about 40 minutes later to say one last goodbye, which I assume means she was getting on the plane at that point.
I'm going to agree with what everyone else has said:
Pleased you got back to Australia fine, sad that you're gone.
Hopefully see again sometime

You know, you could try travelling over Australia to continue your worldwide experience. it might not seem as exotic, but there are lots of wonderful things to see and do here and it might be easier to find work/cheaper on the budget/easier and cheaper to return home.

Hey Minion, I was talking to my mum about west country accents earlier today and I just now did a bit of the diary thingy involving you, and suddenly I really miss your accent.
And so ends the mighty saga of "What Serpy Did On Her Holidays". A thousand years from now, when humans arise again from the ashes of civilisation, they'll tell stories of when the Snake of the East met the Trickster God Thufir, the Nameless One and all manner of demons and exotic creatures. And then the children will look up to their parents and say "That was cool - when did the sequel come out?"
