Wouldn't have thought of Bali for the nighclub scene.

Well, it was extremely widely covered in Australia, as we had the highest number of casualties.

And I just confirmed, my cousin intended to go to that nightclub that night, but changed his mind. Thank **** for that.

More than some, less than others basically. I like doing it occasionally, but not exactly all the time.

Updated again, but not very interestingly.

I'm more hoping that you'd talk more about interesting things you eat, since comparative cuisine is basically the thing I care most about travels.

Or the ever popular Deep Fried Pizza. With Chips on the side, obviously.

The solution is obvious - you must compose a touching sonnet about the food instead.

With regard to the food, humid places tend to have spicy food to cover up the taste of the meat (because it's likely to be in not so good condition due to the humidity), which is also why the chicken is a little overdone by your liking, but better overdone and taste a little dry than underdone and get food poisoning.

On the plus side, you like deep fried bananas - you'll fit right in with Scotland cuisine then.

Actually, the story that spice, or particularly pepper used to cover partially spoiled meat is just a myth.

Especially since you can easily get fresh food anytime in tropical countries.

I think, it's more about because those places produce spice, and spice is cheap there, so obviously spice is more oftenly used than in faraway places where spices are expensive. In places that produce tea, weak tea is drunk like water, and restaurants often provide tea for free.

However, it was used in Europe to cover up bad taste of old meat. Possibly the origin of the myth that it was used in a similar fashion in the tropics.

Dammit! How the heck does these factoids spread?
