Oh my gods. Serpentine looks kind of like me. That is frightening.
Like me, but better, at least. Otherwise I'd have to feel sorry for you, Serpentine.

White and black birdie is probably a magpie (should have a flash of blue somewhere too).
If you're looking forward to a deep fried mars bar, can I suggest deep fried ice cream as well?

The next trick is to give Serpy IrnBru WKD but keep on telling her it's the regular stuff.

The resident archaeologist wants pictures of your mystery object
Also, that's a lot of travelling. I'm not surprised you've been feeling a bit crappy. Jet lag and time differences are a nightmare. Every time I travel, even if it's just to NZ, it takes me about a week to get over it. It'll get better, trust me

Updated, wooo!
Oni: No, I think I know what the British magpies are. The birds I was talking about are much smaller and a bit more... finch or wren like, but aren't either of those things... Also, I've had deep fried ice cream - it's a regular at Chinese restaurants in Australia.
Who'd be happy to have me turn up on their doorstep for a couple of days, and maybe show me around a bit, and maybe pick me up from and/or drop me off at the train/bus station? In the UK, specifically. Probably mostly to the northish. Need to start getting out and exploring this place...

I have a spare room. But also a grumpy old housemate. I'm sure it'd be fine though. For a short while.

Maybe a wagtail? It's hard to say for certain without photographs.

Your account of Bali is really interesting
. It sounds fascinating and some of your pictures are amazing (I couldn't see all of them, but I think that's my laptop's fault
).
I'd love to have the time and money to go off travelling! Maybe some day...

It really was brilliant meeting you. Glad you managed to make it to the meetup! If you want to come down to Bradford again, we might be able to make space for you in the house (if the other house mates will allow me)

I'm loving this diary thing, very interesting and some nice pictures too!
I haven't had the chance to travel a lot outside my country, I've only been to England multiple times recently and to Japan when I was a kid, but I love travelling!

I'm in Leeds. Really close to Bradford. I'm a way out from Leeds City centre but there's a Bramley train station and bus routes nearby.

Hey, mini-meet isn't over yet.
Also, at the time you posted this, we'd only been back in the house after the after-show party for about an hour. Sleep was required.
