Updated! I've linked to my Newcastle photos - let me know if it's not working for anyone - and I'll finish doing the rest of the photos I've taken tomorrow.

Yeah, sure, whatever. Though, I might have to alter the privacy settings for everyone to see them (My standard privacy setting is 'Friends of friends'). I'm planning to post some of them on the forum anyway, also there will be blogging.

So let me get this straight, you passed through Milton Keynes, and you didn't check to see if I was free at the time...
Granted, I was probably working, but I'd have been more than willing to come over if I weren't...

Shoot, you're in Milton Keynes? Dammit. I totally would've had you on call if I'd known/remembered (and had your number)
It was at midnight, though...

Okay, midnight is a little different- especially with all the 7am starts I've been doing at work recently, so much as I would have been willing to turn out and give you a hand, I'm a little bit grateful that you didn't on this occasion.
And yes, obviously my location bar on the forums- whilst saying Saffron city- is supposed to be clearly recognisable as Milton Keynes[/sarcasm]

Good luck on the jobs, Serps! (And 22k per year isn't too bad--I think the average UK salary is £24k, so you're not far off that).

Re: Serpentine's Travel Diary Thingo-Whatsit
As a rough rule of thumb at 22K/year UKP, you lose about 30% of your wage due to tax and National Insurance, so you should be taking home about 1300UKP a month.
Any news yet on the jobs?

Out on the streets
I had a really excellent time, but more on that later.
For now: I'm uploading a craptonne of photos to Facebook. Should I post links to the albums, links to the individual photos, or bugger the people with slow computers/internets and post the photos directly?

I'd say links to albums personally- works as a nice middle of the road option (and as my broadband sometimes slows to a pace that can be beaten by snails- I would have to vote against screwing over people with slow computers)

Entry 11 posted, photos inbound. OHMYGODSOMANYPHOTOSWHYARGH.
edit: Uuuuuuugh. So many photos. What is wrong with me. Too many to go through now. I've linked to some in some of the older entries, and links to all the albums in the first post.
Saaaaay... Don't suppose it'd be possible to get a bit of a rolecall of people following this, would it? It'd be nice to know how many eyes all this work is getting to...

re: the gloominess of Entry 11:
Although some impossibly high percentage of my family live here (over 95%) I have family up country I could try calling and see if they can put in a word for you/get you a job at their place of work.
And friends and friends' families too.
It probably won't pay too well though.
And my dad knows people all over the country too.
I can't promise anything at all, especially availability and pay, but I can certainly ask. Besides, I think I still have a copy of your CV on the laptop so I can email it to them to show their employers if that's okay with you?

Define unreasonable and whether it would incur a(nother) restraining order.
