Silly Message Board GamesA forum for any kind of quote games, continuing story games, "What would you do if?" games, or whatever anyone comes up with. Old threads will now expire after one month.
Hey, what have you been doing all this time away from the forums? BTW, if you don't maind more than 1 question, what's up with your new avi? How did yu find it? Why do you like it?
@V: If I hear a bad pun, it usually don't remember it for very long. One of my favorite puns, that I developed myself in English class for the word "punter," is:
The punter puntered that the punter could punt further than he, being a mere punter.
Do you know why GitP has been slow recently? All other pages load fairly quickly.
@V: Reputable sources say it's because terrific over time changed to mean "very great, severe" which turned into "excellent" around 1888. It's more unclear than other etymologies. Another suggestion is it being applied to movies where being terrified is ideal.
Nuclear explosions do kill cockroaches. If they're not sealed away, then the heat alone would be enough to annihilate them. However, if they return after things have cooled down, they might survive being around ground zero due to their radiation resistance.
Radiation is energy that usually causes ionization and the heating of stuff that it hits. Raid uses neurotoxins to kill insects, not radiation.
Lethality is not a sliding scale. Things we can easily survive are deadly to a roach, and vice versa.
Horror is bad, horrific is bad. Terror is bad, terrific is good? Did I miss something?"
or
If a nuclear explosion won't kill cockroaches then what is in raid?"
above: wow, you really did your research, even for my funny not serious questions. *gives a thumbs up*
below: first whose that? and second, this green metal band on my finger helps against poisons. that is my character
as for real me, i dont know my neighbors here.
Are there any celebrations or traditions exclusively observed on the east coast?
@V: A simple and tidy resolution. Tsukiko would have thrown away everything he'd worked towards for over thirty years, and he ended the threat to both his Plan and his citizens (whom she murdered and abused whenever it struck her fancy) using resources already at his disposal. Resourceful on his part and satisfying in the extreme to me.

How do you feel about your Supreme Leader's latest actions?
@V Thanks. There are lots of people here I'd like to give hugs. There's also been times when I've been sad, and really needed a hug. Even a virtual one.

That alone pretty much narrows it down to an Evil Bard or a Disney Character.

@v: I'd be more scared of them seeing my sketchbook. Like, my very serious boyfriend of one year never saw my sketchbook and I just don't let people look at it ever.
You see, I feel that I write better than I draw and I kinda post everything that happens to me on my blog anyway so it wouldn't even be different and I send people the things that I write so they can tell me what they think. I'm very okay with my writings and my thoughts and feelings being public.

Let's say you draw semi-frequently and keep a diary. If there was someone you were close to who was looking through your stuff, would you be more afraid of them seeing your sketchbook or your diary?
@V: Well, it's not a sliding scale, but I can put up with a lot of stuff. There are a few instant banning offenses. Touch my stuff without asking, and you're dead before you hit the ground. Party all night and send violent vibrations through the building, and I'll probably sleep through it.
@V I don't know. There are so many interesting ones.

@V: It's the combination of a high school nickname, life passion, and philosophical outlook.

@v Practically speaking, the city location seems like a better choice -- particularly because I am an urbanite and could navigate streets and buildings far better than nature.
But a distant mountain stronghold is aesthetically superior and I never make practical choices. That one.

In the event of an incoming invasion, would you rather reinforce a somewhat distant mountain stronghold, or gut and fortify a nearby school or abbey?
@V: I didn't have your monastery in mind when I asked this, but now that you mention it, it has potential to be a very good recurring gag, so long as it's done well. I can't guarantee that it would always be done well, though.
Do you think destroying my monastery repeatedly makes a good running gag?
@V: To avoid haters, yes, but I ultimately decided against it. I like my avatar, other people like my avatar, and I'm not giving in to those who don't.
