One is a local boy with a shockingly angry exterior and a gentle soul beneath. One is a proud and strong militiaman with a dark heritage. One is a scarred priest of Desna who drinks to quiet his nightmares. One is a paladin of Sarenrae from the desert, bringing steel and fire to the unrepentant and seeking out an ancient living nightmare. One is... yet unknown. Together, they... fight crime?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD QUEEN! SHE SLAVERS FOR YOUR SINFUL SOULS! PRAY! KILL! BURN! RRRAAAAAHHH! AL LAI SARENAI AKHBAR!
Koff. I mean, choosing Dark Red as speech colour.
Well, then. While we wait, anybody care to put their cards down, say what they're bringing to the table, so to speak?
I'll kick it off, then... Baqir is isn't the most brilliant blade in the box, so to speak, but he makes up for it with zeal and determination. Though physically imposing, and almost perpetually scowling, he is quick to grin, to banter and to feast. Beyond his quest, he would not be opposed to learning of the doctrines of other religions, so long as he would not be duty-bound to purge them. Out of combat and when not engaged in prayer or maintenance or sustenance, he likes making music. In combat, he can fight well enough at range with his javelins, at reach with his hooked lance and up close with his shield and scimitar.

Hey, you. Yes, you. Come on. SMILE.
Bastion is about as tall as a human comes, though his build is lean do to years of troubled sleep when he happened to run out of alcohol in the wilderness. He'll help out any people he meets that he feels earned it, he will also help anyone who offers him a large enough amount of alcohol for the job, he'll work with anyone as long as their not completely violent. he fights mostly with his scimitar but also can use some spells to help.
Vallen's personality is defined by his need to prove that he isn't evil. So he may (especially when it comes to dealing with townspeople) let himself be a bit of a doormat, or otherwise help people in ways he wouldn't always have bothered with. Part of him is happy to help, and to belong, but part of him is slowly getting tired. He is usually soft-spoken and unassuming in daily life, but can be as gregarious as anyone when he's among friends (especially after a few drinks).
His build is much more human than elfin, and though he's fairly smart, he isn't educated and doesn't possess any trade skills. So, he makes his living as a soldier, and occasionally helps out with general physical work. He's trained in a variety of weapons, and has a knack for putting a blow right where it'll hurt the most.
Vallen is quite charismatic, and he can be very convincing (or intimidating) if he wants to be.
He does have some spell-like abilities usable once per day (Darkness, Faerie Fire, and Dancing Lights) but he is reluctant to use them if townspeople are around.
Jennar is a sturdy young man filled with rage and fear. He desperately hopes to find something more than that inside of him. He wants to believe that there is more to him than the cursed feeling he's had since he's been born.
At the same time he's grown up in an environment that equated being tough as being a man. So, he is a compassionate man once you can get through the rough exterior.
OK, the rules are pretty simple, four on each team, each makes a strength check the highest total wins. There are four rounds and the winner gets bragging rights and a fake gold cup.
Your companion in the tug of war is Aesrick Battlehorn, a dwarf carpenter, who's strength modifier is +2 with a strength of 15. Your first oponents are a group of 4, Ven Vinder, Harker, Chod bevuk and Daviren Hosk. It is pretty obvious that Ven and Harker very much dislike each other, Chod and Ven are good friends and Daviren is well liked by all of them.
