I was going to do some more passive skill checks for a few of you, but I can't seem to access Mythweavers. The only people whose character sheets I can still get to are Hellfire and Jack. Everyone else, can you please at least post your character's Spot, Listen, and Sense Motive modifiers so I can run a few of these checks? Moving your character sheet to a different hosting service would be even better, and unless Mythweavers eventually becomes accessible again, I might ask everyone to do it anyways.
Also, Mr. White, I still need to know whether or not you walked into the store. Not only does it influence what your character can see, but it also chances how some of my NPC's will act.
Sorry it took so long. I definitely went in the store.
As for skill checks:
Spot 3, Listen 3, Sense Motive 3

Awesome. Although, I can't seem to access Regret's sheet on DnD Sheets - did you make it publicly available? Considering that I can't really let results of these checks wait any longer, I'm going to roll your check later after I can get to your character's skill stats.
I don't see any option to make it publicly available!

If, when you are looking at your list of characters (which, presumably will only be one entry long) you click 'edit' at the end of the line it will take you to a new page. The very top entry of that page should be a section entitled 'public characters' with a button allowing you to 'Apply Public Permission'.
Also, it appears that we are well on our way to uniting the last few stragglers with the party...except for Hong-Hua. SwordScythe hasn't responded to my latest PM for at least a week. I'm going to PM him again and ask if he's really committed to this campaign. Yes, I can understand delays, but the longer he waits to respond to things, the more events take place with the main body of the party and the harder it will be to reintroduce his character to the main thread.
Sorry for the apparent delays everybody, but we're currently in a very precarious situation. A handful of different groups of PCs are close enough for NPCs to walk back and forth between groups, but they are still separate enough to still require PMs instead of moving to the main thread. I sort of have to wait for one group to make a response before moving onto the next person.
Alagaesian, I think you should go on. If we don't pick up pace people might stop checking the thread. Don't let this be another game that just died after a few posts. It's time to call the reserves :D

I imagine we should call upon one of the alternates before we let one person end the game because of their slow response. I suppose decision lies with Alagaesian, though.
Aah! There are no words to describe how sorry I am for this! But, no, this campaign is not dead, certainly not before the first encounter starts. Real life decided that simply inconveniencing me wasn't enough - it would be better to send me on two cross-country trips within two weeks and force three exams down my throat in the meantime. I promise, this campaign will pick up much more speed from now on, especially once I get out of school in April.
Anyways, SwordScythe is not going to be in this campaign anymore. I'm PMing Ironfist Orc to tell him there's an opening. If he doesn't respond within five days, I'll try PMing Zolkabro.
Also, the NPCs-passing-between-groups delays should be pretty much gone by now. If we're lucky, we should see the first encounter beginning soon. Not everyone may become involved in it, however.
Taking 20 to Search the room after the Goldies clear out, total result 21 including intelligence modifier, if this counts as non-threatening and I've got 2 minutes to spare.
I'll give you the result of that check as soon as other people have the chance to respond to the recent developments. I figured people should at least have the ability to talk to Sharps or ask some last-minute questions before I have the Goldies leave IC.
Mr. White, I sent you your PM three days ago and haven't gotten a response. While I would normally be content to wait for a few more days, especially considering that I forced most of you to wait for almost three weeks, the speed of the IC thread has picked up to the point where the difference in the passage of time between your POV and everyone else's could cause some pretty abnormal stuff to happen if it pushes much further. For instance, sound could take a few hours to travel less than a hundred feet.
Also, on an unrelated note, I love it when people start connecting the dots.
Darnit, I forgot that I'd need a quite a few PC passive checks to happen too.
Spoiler
A (1d20+6)[8] (1d20+6)[20] (1d20+2)[21]
K (1d20+4)[21] (1d20+4)[5] (1d20+4)[15]
P (1d20+4)[5] (1d20+6)[10] (1d20+4)[20]
L (1d20+2)[14] (1d20+2)[20] (1d20+2)[22]
R (1d20+6)[17] (1d20+3)[18] (1d20-1)[5]
I'll send out notes PMs according to the results.

I'm at work at the moment. I'll send a response in a few hours.
Sorry for the inconvinience.

Just making sure of a couple game mechanics: a damage roll of most thrown weapons involves the particular die of the weapon plus the attacker's strength bonus, right?

I have no idea why that roll didn't go through...but anyways, I don't like the idea of using initiative in PbP. It forces everyone to wait in a line - if everyone takes 2-3 days to respond with a move, then it would take 2-3 weeks for seven people perform one round of combat. I would prefer if everyone posted their moves at the start of the round, the first people to respond going first in that particular turn, with all the NPCs and/or monsters acting at the end of each turn. That way, it would only take a few days per round at a maximum.
Considering the circumstances, I think it would be best to give Thomas the chance to act in a Surprise Round. Basically, this means you have the ability to take an extra turn at the start before anyone can do anything.
You know that awkward moment when you realize an encounter has started and you haven't completely stated out the guy everyone wants to kill? Yeah. I'll get right to fixing that.
Anyways, here's the reflex save for Thomas's Entangle spell. Sharps will need a 14 to beat it. (1d20+6)[18]
Also, Sodalite, you shouldn't post what your character is doing within the game mechanics in the IC thread. Saying "He uses this ability and has this many points left" is for the OOC thread, not the IC thread.
I'm guessing, given its insane radius (40ft) we're all caught in that Entangle. Actually, it would probably cover then entire room several times over...
As such Reflex save for Kole: (d20+4)[23]
Also, I'm not sure how you feel about having the IC thread filled with Spoiler blocks Alagaesian, but I believe the convention is to put OoC stuff in one of those, for ease of reference. Either way (here or spoiled in the IC thread) is fine with me, as long as we're all on the same page!
