So um, more clouds. This one got a bit grey, but other than that I do think it's kind of great.

Okay, going to lay off the clouds for a while now. This has been very relaxing.

Blargh.

One of these days I'm going to do something challenging with light and shadows. Assuredly.

Nighttime Wave/Rays Eightfold.

What could it possibly mean.

Anyway, reading backwards on my own thread I noticed a slight mistake (I also noticed my english is much much worse than I thought and I'm sorry you all have to put up with that). This post should contain a link leading to this picture of clouds that I drew a couple of weeks ago. It now does so. Until then, it contained a picture of a couple of pearl plates I made for my cousin. And that wasn't really relevant. Well, mistake corrected. Carry on.

Rain kind of got away from me. It would look really nice to promise to do better from here on, but that sounds unrealistic. But yeah, there will be earnest attempting going on. I'll see to it that you get something daily to look at in the meantime from now on, regardless.

Figured I'd draw quick things to upload here, so I can focus on the medium series, let you know I'm still here, and get more used to drawing digitally without scanned sketches.

Sorry about the stupidly long pause there.

Want to hear the greatest joke in the world?

The joke is sand.

I am the punchline.

You do see to have a penchant for sand, yes. Make better use of it. Challenge yourself.

This probably sounds criminally lame added after the fact, but there was actually a challenge there. I was limiting myself to fifteen minutes to see how it'd turn out (drawing this slowly is a serious medical condition you guise).

This got a little over time though.

I was going to make a joke about you missing three days of updates because of the forums update.

But now it's three days since that.

I was going to offer commentary on your earlier posts of hand drawn stuff, but your later drawings don't have as much of the heavy outlining. Which, if you were planning to make it into line art for something like Illustrator or other vector program, is good. For just pencil work, maybe not so much. But several of your later drawings don't have so much heavy outlining. So I don't know if it's a stylistic choice* or an improvement in technique for you. I am heavily biased toward "classical" and "realistic" in physical media, though. Line art certainly has its place, but I tend to view it more as a key technique in sequential pictorial art (that's "comics").

Also I like the clouds and others that you did as digital art.

*I make stylistic choices with my drawings, that if you could see the process, you'd probably go "ohhhh, I see what you're doing there" (whether you like the result or not), but if you just saw the finished piece you might well go, "what the hell is that"
