Which way do you wish to go? The fastest way out to rejoin the rest o the group will take you past the warehouse, which the ghoul may or may not be near. You're not sure right now.
The group follows the ghoul, although Doreen is obviously nervous about the situation. The ghoul appears to run straight into the warehouse...which is burning up pretty hard now.
Halting and wondering if Grim and Amber are in the burning warehouse and what the ghould was going to do running straight into the fire, Brando starts to put his priorities in order. First, find his friends. He looks for tracks using all of his senses

Brando believes that his companions have recently been outside of the warehouse, and he can see some...drag marks heading towards the way the group entered.
No, you successfully find Grim and an unconscious Amber (who will recover in the middle of the next scene) at the edge of the warehouse district.
Doreen says, "The man on the phone said something about staying behind a...umm...what did he call it...a threshold or something. Advised me to take Amber and you all to someone I am intimately familiar with and feel at-home in, and then wait for him there or something. I guess he means my house?"
Grim grabbed Amber's head and nodded it gently, with a horrible attempt at ventriloquism in a high pitched voice. "Yes, thresholds are good! Any place personal ... no public places!
Aren't I hot?"
Motioning to the woman to continue, he grunted at Brando. "You want to take a turn with Sleeping Beauty?"

DM: "Why do you have so many characters?"
Me: "Because I never embraced the strategic value of running away."
Doreen gives Grim a strange look as he ventriloquates badly. As she leads you all quickly towards her house, she says, "I talked to this wierd-sounding guy named Dresden or something. Isn't that a city in Germany or something?"
After after half an hour of walking, the gorup reaches Doreen's house. Stacy tugs on Doreen's sleeve. "Mommy, mommy, I'm hungry...and dirty...they didn't let me have bath time at all..."
Doreen sighs and runs a hand across her forehead, wiping some sweat away. "Well, here we are. I hope my place has this...threshold thing that man talked about. Is Amber going to be alright? If you're hungry, feel free to make yourselves a sandwich."

Grim doesn't know anything about Dresden except for what Amber has mentioned.
Yeah. I really hadn't planned on involving Dresden, but...it really makes logical sense for Amber to reach out to Harry, so I guess he'll coming. Btw, you'll start coming to with a huuuge headache in a post or two.
Grim wandered into the kitchen, eyeing the place for any additional entry (or exit) points. Once there, he called back, "Got any coffee? Her head will be banging ..."

The house has a sliding glass door that leads into the back yard. There's also quite a few windows.
Doreen responds, "Yeah, you can use the coffee-maker in the kitchen. I'm going to go get my daughter cleaned up in the bathroom."
Stacy pouts and complains, "But mommy, I haven't eaten in ages...I'm hungry..."
The mother picks up her daughter and begins walking towards the bathroom. "You're filthy, and I need to get a better look at your scratches anyways. Now hush."
She turns to Grim and says, "Can you or the doctor make some PB&J sandwiches while we're cleaning up?"
Brando shifts back to human form, his clothes in rags. Since this time he didn't bothered with taking them off they had been torn apart by his new form.

"So. What happened there for everything to go on fire out of nowhere?""

Amber starts stirring a bit, moaning from a SERIOUS headache worse than any hangover she has ever gotten (and she has probably had quite a few thanks to her party-girl ways).
Grim glanced at the girl, thinking, More like PB&Flesh sandwiches ... better keep an eye on mini-ghoul there ...
In answer to Brando's question, he grinned and jerked his head towards the now-groaning Amber. "You'll have to ask Hot Stuff there. But for future reference, Mr. Magee ... don't make her angry!"
Grim proceed to whip up some culinary masterpieces ... as long as it didn't require more than bread and spread, or meat and cheese.

With a nod of thanks, Amber takes the drink and sips it, "Well...I found out what happens if I use too much magic in too short an amount of time...so I got to the fire, but didn't get to the water magic."
Brando may be concerned about that. Perhaps his girlfriend might give hima call asking about why, not an hour after giving Brando the info Brando wanted, the WC warehouse burned down?
In any case, Amber's headache persists for now, she can perform any activity she normally can, but she's not happy about doing stuff (knocking yourself out via mental fatigue sucks).
Is there any specific activity you all wish to do while waiting for Doreen to return? You're free to make coffee, food, etc. Even make phone calls.
