Re: Tools of Chaos
Down ta river from the Odegard memorial bridge there is Rimrock Cave. There were a Necromancer in ta area with zombies and skeletons being sighted. Chamille hates Necromancers. She can fight them better than most anybody. After she left there weren't no more undead, but folks still disappear in that area occasionally. One person went to check the cave, but was attacked soon as he entered.

Though it be not the Dwarven way, it be too early to get plastered. When ye gets beck ye tells me the story and see who have the greater constitution then.

Re: Tools of Chaos
Angus bows again. Your strength is only exceeded by your wisdom.
After bidding him good day, Angus sets off to find Odegard bridge.

Re: Tools of Chaos
When you ask around it is called either the Odegard Memorial Bridge, but the unofficial name is Assassins Bridge, after the assassin who jumped off of it into the river to avoid capture.

Set off towards it, humming a somber tune.

Re: Tools of Chaos
If anyone takes objection to your somber tune, they say nothing. You reach the bridge without trouble. It is about 100 feet wide with a drop of at least 40 feet to the water below. The water is well below the high water line, which is about 30 feet below. The water is shallow right now and large boulders lie around in it. There are large, boring fish swimming in the river.

Wander downstream, scanning the banks for signs of a cave.

about 5 miles down you see an opening in the rock about 40 feet above the water. It not a difficult looking climb, mostly angular river rocks and such.

Angus pulls out his greatsword and looks for any signs of life - or unlife.

A crow flies overhead. That is about the only thing moving right now besides the river itself. Inside the cave you find a skeleton in light armor.

Angus bows to the skeleton, honoring the fallen. Search the bones for anything of value or anything that could identify him.

Re: Tools of Chaos
Its time in the cave has not been kind to the armor. from what you can tell it is ruined standard issue leather and that is about it. There is a ring on one of the skeletons fingers, a thin band of silver with some type of design on it. A dagger is on the skeletons belt. When it is taken out of its sheath it seems to not be touched by time, with a design that has two talons on the guard and a feather etched into the handle.. There is also a pouch with a largely illegible note in it.
From what you can make out

Pocket the ring, dagger, and note. Venture carefully deeper into the cave.

The deeper you go into the cave the more skeletons you find, though these are all bone, with nothing of value, of much anything besides bone. You start to hear a voice speaking in some type of dwarven..

Angus stands stock still, barely breathing, to see if the voices are talking about him, or some other poor unfortunate in the same cave.

The derro does some magic thing where he divides in two, but it is fine with you because both halves are bleeding.
