@Legomaster: Sorry about that, I must have previewed it first and messed it up. You take (4d4)[10] negative levels.
@JKTrickster: Glad to have you back! And it looks like the fight between you and Paranoia is about to get interesting. He wont be using melee any more, seeing how ineffective it is. There are always other tactics for the discerning villain, however. And your decision to enter the Fortress should be fun.
Well, it's a good thing I was 65 feet away from Orcus when that aura activated. Remember? A charge brings you to the point where you can first hit the target. Orcus totally wasted his attack.
Oh, well. 359 damage total to him.

edit: At least I got the nat 1 in what is basically a practice fight.
That 4th *smack* should be a *wiff* I knew should not have named it a forward slap.

@Legomaster: You hit the nail on the head when you said Orcus's mind was breaking. Despite all his efforts, you were still beating him, and he lashed out with his best shot, even though it was completely ineffective.
And now you've won. Orcus has fallen, and so ends the first truly Epic battle of the campaign. And he is still as arrogant as always. If someone was to kill him, that someone should be the ruler of the multiverse. No lesser being could possibly destroy the Demon Prince of the Undead.
@Avalon: The thought of you slapping the ToS is indeed amusing.
And it seems I've somehow messed up all the attacks in the IC post. Oh well, here they are.
Attacks:
Bite (1d20+138)[154]
Claws (1d20+138)[146](1d20+138)[139]
Horns (1d20+138)[149](1d20+138)[147]
Sting (1d20+138)[146]
@Anecron: Did you really think you could use the Hide skill to fool Odin? His Eyes can see everything. Fooling Tyr or Aegir, sure. Odin, not so much.
He doesn't get a Save. Unless he can see an entirely different Plane and made the Spot Check when I hide in Asgard
Hide doesn't give another roll after the first, I am invisible with no way of Detecting me without Mindsight (which hurts them)

Sorry but I just saw your post and had to say something.
I can hold several million tonnes inside my 3rd stomach and the longsword can swallow any loot you get.
I also double as a postal service

This would still be enough to turn it to friendly, however, as an unreasoning machine created purely to destroy, I'm reluctant to even let Diplomacy effect it at all. No matter how high. The set DCs of Diplomacy checks do not take into account that different targets may be more or less hard to win over. Going by the rules, it would be just as easy to make Primus Fanatical as it would be to do the same to an angry orc with an Intelligence of 6. Yeah, I don't think so. I think I'm going to make Diplomacy only work on mortals for a quick fix for this problem.
Bolded for the relevance.
Sorry.
@DM: How can Odin see me? Does he have an Ex/Su/Sp ability that lets him see anyopne already hidden?

I personally think that this game would be a nightmare to play (and even moreso, DM) over an actual tabletop. There's a truly ridiculous number of things to keep track of. It's a lot better when you can do it via forum, and take time to think about your actions, as well as all relevant situational modifiers, of which there are possibly dozens at this level.
I agree that it would be a terror to do on the tabletop. Most Epic games are.
I know I can't play Chaos in Real Time. Though it would help with a couple jokes the logistics of combat make me shudder.
And we are all too separated to be good sitting round a table.

This game would be almost impossible to DM on a tabletop setting, what with all of you whizzing around to the various Planes, sometimes several at once, and splitting up. There's just no way I could improvise fast enough. I need time to think about the reactions the NPCs would make when Anon randomly pops in and starts trolling them.
Concerning Diplomacy: When I said it only worked on mortals, I was referring to non-divine beings, or other creatures of lesser power. Therefor it would not work as well on Gods, Incarnations, Demon Lords, etc. It would still have an effect, but they wouldn't automatically be your slave just because you got over 150 on a diplomacy check.
It would work an mere inevitable drones. They're almost mindless, but with just enough mental capacity to be swayed by others. It doesn't matter so much if you're trying to use diplomacy a construct or an undead, it matters if they are intelligent or not.
@Anecron: Odin automatically succeeds on all Spot Checks, no matter what the DC is. He can see through planer boundaries, and his range of vision is approximately twenty miles. No form of invisibility or concealment can stop this ability, nor can darkness, magic or not. This also precludes all miss chances, cover bonuses, and similar. It also works as x-ray vision, True Seeing, Death Watch, and Detect(magic, evil, law, traps, etc.). It is unaffected by anti-magic zones and the like. His Eyes have the same ability when away from Odin, as well. So when I said he can see anything, I'm not kidding.
@Legomaster: It should be noted that Orcus's armor could also be salvaged. It's currently regenerating up to full strength.
Also, I have a house rule I would like to put into effect. It hasn't come up yet, so it wont change anything. It concerns the death at -10 HP rule.
With this rule, if you do end up dying, it wont be in a dramatic manner. You'll be fighting one round, dead the next. So instead, you die at -60 HP, and you can take a partial action each round at negative HP. You also lose one HP per round at negative HP. This allows you to make one last strike against your enemy, or have a dying speech. 50 damage is not very much at this level, so this should be about one extra round. This basically just adds some coolness to death scenes. Unless you have any objections, we'll use this from now on. Hail the Burning Man!
@Legomaster: It should be noted that Orcus's armor could also be salvaged. It's currently regenerating up to full strength.
Yeah, but how do I fit it in through the opening of my something-like-a-Bag-of-Holding? I recall that it is MASSIVE.
Besides that, by the rules, having the entire castle collapse on top of me would deal a whopping 20d(6? 10?) damage, which will barely put a bruise on Korug. In addition, with his STR, climbing back out would be a piece of cake. Getting buried is not a threat to me.

Well, I just finished my Eagle Scout service project. Has anyone ever told you how hard it is to organize 20 volunteers to erect 4 wooden dog kennel roofs, during 6 hours in the heat of early spring (to be fair, it really is hot down here in Tennessee)?
Sorry it's taken me so long to post. Being in a circus makes me very busy, as I've recently found out. And it took me a while to figure out what the God's response to Anon would be.
@Legomaster: Congratulations on your upcoming Eagle Scout rank! I have an idea of how hard they can be, as my brother recently got his Service Project finished as well. At least his was mainly indoors, so heat wasn't an issue. I don't envy spending that much time working outside in this weather.
Also, you're right about the collapsing fortress not being much threat. A mere building kill an Incarnation? As if.
@JKTrickster: Convincing pitiful mooks to rise up against their overlord is a perfectly good use for diplomacy. Using guile is a lot better than the 'slaughter everything and it's mother' mindset that a lot of players have.
Edit: I just...deleted my IC post. My wonderful, shiny, really long IC post. That took me over an hour to write. And now it's gone. DAMN.
...Anyway, sorry about that. I'll have it recreated by tomorrow, bear with me on this.
Ouch. May I ask how you accidentally deleted it? It's not exactly an easy task to accidentally delete a post on this forum.
That said, thanks a lot for the compliment.

A moment of silence, for the time spent and the brain power wasted.
