At this point, Mirielle is nearly running out of plant deities and archdruids to curse.

Jorran laughs as the tanglefoot bag finds it mark, but his mockery turns into a curse as the blindly swinging warrior catches him in the side. Jorran staggers backwards half a step before striking back, attempting to sink his sword into the bugbear, ready to step forth to meet another foe.
Spoiler
Standard: Shankshankshank, Full Power Attack
Attack Roll: (1d20+6)[17]
Damage: (2d6+13)[21]
Oh, hello there. Think I didn't bring spare lights? Launching another of the clumsy arrows through the darkness, Aya swiftly readjusts her aim as it bursts open, targeting the courageous psion.
Spoiler
Rapid Shot again; one hearthfire arrow, one normal at the blue. Launching the light 35ft feet in front of the cave entrance this time, so Aya's still got bright illumination on the entrance, and they'll have a harder time reaching it without stepping into the Entangle. (Actually, on that note, how tall was the barricade again?)
Hearthfire: (1d20+5)[20]
Jorran's retalatory strike finds the blind bugbear's heart, killing him instantly. The lone goblin, now the last line of defense between the fierce warrior and the winch, anxiously gets into a defensive posture when suddenly from behind him the sound of breaking wood can be heard; in their desperate attempts to free the mechanism from the sticky goo, they broke it and while the winch now turns flawlessly, it fails to transmit any force to the floodgate's opening mechanism.
Aya once again brings light upon the barricade and strikes the surprised psion with an arrow, making him stagger back out of sight.
Spoiler
well, one more turn and the Entangle is gone.
Left goblin takes full defense
non-blind bugbear tosses javelin at Mirielle (1d20+1)[7](1d6+3)[6]

Well, as long as you're just going to stand up there in plain sight... Now that Jorran is eagerly slaughtering the dam's defenders, the shielded goblins atop the barricade become targets of opportunity, and Aya continues her efforts to diminish the fortress's population.
Spoiler
Two more shots at the barricade guards.

Keeva snickers to herself, as she hears the breaking of the mechanism. Twits, she thinks to herself, as she raises up her crossbow, hoping to make some mark this time.
Spoiler
Instant of Power. Attack roll.
To Hit: (1d20+9)[12]
Kill it already: (2d8)[11]
I'm having as much luck with this aiming thing as candycorn has with vines. Heh.

The grass finally stops twisting and turning, freeing Magnus and Mirielle from their predicament. Jorran splits the skull of the interposing goblin, and the two remaining bugbears gang up on him, the blind one trying to take a hold of him. Elsewhere, Aya kills yet another goblin with two arrows. The remaining ones kneel down to lessen their opposed parts, and are soon reinforced by three more goblins, these ones lying flat on the barricade and readying crossbows.

Jorran slashes the bugbear as it blindly flails at him, getting hit by the other bugbear for his trouble. He turns and slashes at the one with still functioning eyes, sword suddenly aflame.

Confident, at least. Guess they must really have numbers on their side if they're still coming. Switching her aim to the new arrivals, Aya attempts to off one or two of them before they can open fire on the others.
Spoiler
I'm going to have start using the expensive arrows soon... Targeting the crossbow-wielders. Kneeling + shield's about the same as prone, anyway.

Jorran fails to hit either of the bugbears, and they keep wailing at him with combined efforts. The fleeing goblin slowly stumbles down the rock, not confident to move down the slope any faster while unable to see anything. Two crossbow bolts fly out of the darkness at Mirielle, the third goblin killed by Aya's shot.
Spoiler
Magnus is at +10 on the ladder

Fingering her supply of arrows, Aya frowns as she fires the last two of her ordinary shafts at the remaining crossbowmen. I need a better quiver. Hope they've got a decent bit of gold stashed away in there.
Jorran was suddenly, and acutely, running out of steam. His 36 seconds of exertion caught up to him as he struggled to combat the bugbears with weakened arms, taking a hit from the sighted one. He summoned his rage for a second more, roaring at the bugbears as an unreasoning avatar of rage, striving to replace their defiance with terror.
Spoiler
6 rounds are up, Jorran is out of ferocity. Yay for -2 to almost everything a melee character could care about.
Standard Action: Frightful Scream. Will save DC 13 or be frightened for 1d4 rounds if they have less HD than I do, shaken if they succeed on the save.
Having felled the goblin as he tried to escape, Mirielle makes her way over to the dam to help Jorran with the last two bugbears.
Spoiler
Double move to I6.

Magnus's hammer crushes into the back of the bugbear with a resounding crack and the goblinoid goes down, neck bent in an unnatural angle. The last bugbear turns to flee, but is immediately stopped dead in his tracks by Jorran's sword. Over at the cave, the goblins lose yet another of their number to Aya's arrows and seeing the dam fallen, the abandon the barricade reluctantly, retreating inside the cave.

Motivated as much by pragmatism as by compassion, Mirielle circles around to each of the goblins and bugbears to see if any are yet alive.
Spoiler
I think we've got some time, and it only takes a standard action, so I'll make a few heal checks to stabilize them: (1d20+3)[14] (1d20+3)[19] (1d20+3)[20] (1d20+3)[20] (1d20+3)[17]

Mirielle pulls out a pair of manacles and a lock and clasps them onto the bugbear. "Would the two of you like to interrogate him?" she asks Magnus and Jorran. "Anything we can find out from him will be more important than the few minutes it takes, but I doubt he'll willingly give up information. Just, don't undo the work I had to do on him." She then dumps a small amount of sand from a pouch on the ground and focuses on it intently. Shortly, it coils into a lasso, which she straps to her belt.
Spoiler
Wisdom checks to make a lasso from shapesand (DC 16): (1d20+3)[8] (1d20+3)[17] Nifty. (1d20+3)[15] (1d20+3)[19] (1d20+3)[9]

Magnus looks in the cave, not looking at the hobgoblin or Mirielle, as he answers, "It's likely the thing doesn't even speak common. Even if he does, the only relevant information he could possibly have relates to the defenses in there, and any time spent interrogating him is time that the ones inside have to strengthen those defenses and get in position. No, it's best to just put him down, and continue. Anything he knows about motives behind this or larger schemes at play will undoubtedly be known by the leaders in the cave. Capturing them for interrogation will be far more useful."

Mirielle bites her lower lip. "Fine," she says. She takes off the manacles and returns them to her sack. She pulls out a wand and taps Jorran with it before climbing down the ladder. "Are we ready to go?"
Spoiler
Lesser vigor restores 11 hp. Anyone need more healing?
