Re: [MLP FiM] Bridle Shores Out of character thread 6
Heeeey Amish, when do ya think would be good time for that side plot of Gear and Silverpine who decide to play matchmaker to try to find a date/fillyfriend for Sandy?
I'd prefer something like Hearts and Hooves Day shenanigans, feh, who says H&H Days can't be in the implied summer season that the RP seems to have advanced to?

Ooh, I was wondering when this would come up.
Hmm, well a big part of it depends on how the current Report to Canterlot sub-plot turns out, if Sandy sends out the purposefully incomplete report and whatnot. Once that gets resolved, I think he'll be well enough (i.e. not incapacitated by guilt) to have these shenanigans thrust upon him. So probably the next ponyday at the earliest. Could be a hilarious scene to have some of his problems finally resolved, only to be woken up by this nonsense.
Gearstride and Silverpine can certainly start priming things, scouting out potential candidates and plotting his downfall. as a single stallion :P

"Hey Sandy mah boy, get up, we're gonna find ya a fillyfriend, because frankly, I think ya need to get made out with, make ya feel good."

Gearstride will start writing out/practicing a song to go with all this

Aren't almost all her friends in the middle of scenes anyway? I know Foxglove and Silvermane are... I mean, we're kind of in the middle of a plot and junk.

Today I learned that all my friends are absolutely bonkers. I woke up this morning to find them literally throwing mares (that I think they just found walking around) at my house and yelling something about makeouts. I've locked myself in my basement, it's the only safe haven left. Please send help. All the help. Airlift the house if you have to.

...Top Hat and Silk Scarf would totally love to help their friend Sandy find a special somepony.
No, they don't care if Sandy actually thinks of them as friends or not.

Smoothie and Mystic help him get out of there, no worse for the wear, and they all go somewhere they can avoid Hearts and Hooves day.

Uhh, Orzel... Did you actually mean this the way you phrased it?

OOPS. There's suppose to be a 'do not' in there.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Please ignore the previous letter sent by our dear friend, Sandy Shores. He was just in a... rather delicate state previously. Don't mind the broken basement doors and screams from his house, he'll be meeting his one true love soon enough and all will be well. After all, what is a stallion without love?
Your matchmaking subject,
Silverpine

RE: The entire dang thread: Well, I guess Silverpine and Gearstride certainly won't be scarce in recruiting help for any parts of their schemes.

"No!"
"Fine, fine. But I'm still helping find other candidates."
Uh...yeah, right, that whole...character interaction...thing...
"Hold up a second, are you saying you didn't even notice that? With all the teasing and "friendly" nuzzles and not-so-subtle wordplay? Hay, Gear probably even picked up on that. And you're sayin' you didn't notice a thing?"
Well...no, I'm just saying that, maybe it took me longer than, say, other individuals to make that connection-
"Luna's moon, you didn't know! Bahahahaha, oh my goodness, oh man, you're...you're even worse at this then I am! Bahahahaha..."

Dear Princess Celestia,
Yes, ignore that Sandy Shores, I know what's best for him despite what he may think. And what's best for him is a filly to make with the Hot Pony Kisses TM with him, believe me, I know what I'm talking about....also, I'm sorry about that one time in Canterlot, can ya...lift the restrain order ya have on me that doesn't allow me to step one hoof into Canterlot? Pretty please?
Re: [MLP FiM] Bridle Shores Out of character thread 6
Dear Royal Subjects.
I have hidden Sandy away from you for his own good and for your own. Gearstride, the restraining order will not be lifted.
If you want to find a special somepony for your friend, go about it the normal way. Make sure he wants one, set him up on dates with ponies you think fit him, and let it take its course. Forcing mares on him could possibly have the exact opposite effect of what you intend, and is not very friendly anyway.
There is also the possibility that your friend is not interested in romance. There are many ponies like this, and trying to force romance on them is a good way to ruin your friendship with them.
Treat Sandy as he wants to be treated, not as you have been treating him. If you don't treat him as he should be treated, I shall be severely disappointed in you.
Re: [MLP FiM] Bridle Shores Out of character thread 6
Dear Princess Celestia,
You're not my favorite princess anymore, you're such a killjoy. What happened? You used to be the fun princess with a playful side. Why does this sound like Smoothie talking?
Re: [MLP FiM] Bridle Shores Out of character thread 6
And why the hay can't I find any of my stationary? I left it right here in my desk...
(In all seriousness, regardless of whether these madcap schemes work or not, that's probably going to be the lesson learned by at least one party here. With any luck, the journey there will be hilarious.)
