Seeing how nopony else has shown interest, and seeing how I've gotten a bit better at managing my time well, I'd be willing to take him. If it proves to be too much, then I'll put him up for adoption again. It helps that, as a foal, I'm thinking I'll play him a bit more as a reactionary character.
So, for my own purposes of formulating a character, let's see if I've got this straight; Garion is back to being a foal, has his cutie mark, but effectively has lost all his memories? As in the first thing he remembers is waking up in Bridle Shores? Is there anything specific (special talent, certain skills, etc.) that he remembers? And what had you thought his special talent was?

Garion remembers nothing but his own name.
His cutie mark is his talent: Running to the defennse of others and being their 'shield' as it were, be it emotional or physical he is shielding. Now, wether he does this willingly or not is up to you. ;)

Oh. And Gear's clone is now without power. So it's another pile of armor like Smoothie's. Blank and superstrong. Now wether she can get it from that wyrm or not is up to Soft.

I'm cool with it happening.
But.
Gwynfillion wouldn't make the first move here to adopt the foal that was once upon a time a stallion from 1000 years ago who through shenanigans became the evil tank that was Simmer, that she released, accidentally-on-purpose.
So the hard part is figuring out how she ends up with Garion as her ward

Smoothie suggests Soft take care of the foal.
Gwyn takes the foal out of a misguided sense of competition and because she just plain doesn't like Soft Serve.

Idea: She sees the foal as a purified Simmer. As in, something that was a part of the Dark Forces (sorta kinda not really), but is now completely free. Beyond their control.
She might find that worthwhile of study. Just has a pesky foal attached to it.

Mmm, mixed in with magical studies, and a weird sense of obligation from being the one who had set the original Simmer unto Bridle Shores, a penance sort of thing, though not quite that word.
Though, she still wouldn't make the first move, not in her current state of being. She needs a 'nudge' in that direction.

The ponies could start talking about the fate of the foal. In their conversation, they bring up some of the things about the foal. How he's lucky to be freed from evil (hint hint), how the princesses would probably want to look at him, he's got some crazy magic auras here (HINT HINT), and how it's so fitting that the foal gets a chance at a new life, maybe it can atone for what Simmer did. (HINT HINT)

Well, considering that the armor itself holds the actual 'purified' Simmer, now Summer, some of that might be a bit hard to explain when he's put back together. :P
But he can wake up whenever you like. He's all yours now. :)
