Overview
Spoiler
This is a werewolf game about werewolf games and the players who play them. (Also maybe some other stuff. Blame Bladescape for that though, not me.)
When each player signs up they will choose a Werewolf game in this forum (please include a link to that game). Their role will come from that game and that game's rules will be incorporated into the rules that this game will have. Each game may only be chosen once. Please don't pick games with rules I won't be able to more or less fully understand (either because the game is still running and the rules are a secret or there were some secret rules that were an important part of the game and that game's narrator is no longer around/unwilling to tell me what they were). Only one person can pick Classic or other games that are just multiple iterations of the same rules (though please do link a specific one if you choose a game like that).
Once I notice they've signed up, each player will get a pm of their private QT (please do not share this with others, there will be penalties involved if caught, mind/bladder shattering guilt if not) where they may request a certain role(s) from the game they chose (no promises though) and ask questions and perform whatever actions they have throughout the game. If you for some reason can't use QuickTopic, we'll handle things through PMs (though that's really a bother, try not to be unable to do convenient things, dude).
If you get (or choose, which is probably the only way we're getting "Villagers") a normally unpowered role like Villager, Mason, or Wolf, you will get powers/bonuses of our making.
The overall goal of the game is to rack up as many victories as possible.
Roleplaying
It would be nice if everyone roleplayed though it's hardly enforceable. What would fit the theme of this game would be if everyone RPed as "themselves". That is to say, exaggerated, fictional, completely opposite, silly, or whatever versions of themselves. Allusions to other games or conversations about other games, real or fictional would fit in well.
Rules
Spoiler
This is a blind werewolf game. For those that don't know what that means; you play with a blindfold on. Er... I mean.... At the start of the game most people don't know who else is on their team.
The Goal: Rack up as many victories as possible. Victories will be achievable in many ways including personal Role victories, Team victories, Faction victories, City victories, and the Ghost victory. Or you could try to shoot the moon and go for the most losses. *shrug*
Teams: There are three teams. These are: Villagers, Wolves, and Neutrals. There may or may not be a few people on none of these teams, we shall call the Unaligned. The goal for all three teams is to be the only team left standing.
Lynches:
Each Day phase everyone votes in red for one player to face the baleful gaze of the Daystar dreaded Lynch. The two players with the most votes will compete in a contest that represents the battle to win that day's lynch. Ties are resolved randomly. Each player will have values we'll call Strengths of Play (unless someone comes up with a better name). Each value will be between 1-10. The loser of the lynch dies (probably). The winner lives and gets to choose which Strength of Play the next day's contest will be using. They cannot pick the same Strength of Play as the previous day's contest.
Note: Ranked from lowest to highest. So 1 is bad, 10 is good.
Strengths of Play
Logic
Guile
Staying Under the Radar
Roleplaying
Puns
Randomness
Luck
Double Think
The only public information given when a player is Lynched is that player's Team and Alias.
Kills:
There are two ways to kill another player with a night kill ability. The first is to target the Alias of someone who is in the same City as the killer. If that Alias is in the same city as the killer that Alias' owner will die. The second is to target a player/alias combination with a kill. If that combination is the correct one the target will die.
There is a one in three chance any kill will result in an Abduction. If a player is Abducted they are forbidden from communicating in any way with other players for 2-3 days. If an Abductee was targeted by a member of their own Team they do not die and instead the would be killer learns that the target is a member of their team. Otherwise they die as normal. Non-abduction kills will kill teammates.
The only public information given when a player is Killed is that player's Team and Alias.
Ghosts
Dead players lose all their powers, items, and gold and become Ghosts. Ghosts may vote for a player, in blue, during the day phase to reduce their total voting power by c/x (where c is 1/3 the number of players and x is the number of ghosts). Votes may be changed by crossing it out (like so: blue) before the day ends.
Ghosts still win if their team wins and/or they accomplish their role win conditions. They also count victories if the faction or city they belonged to before they died wins. In addition the Ghosts as a whole have a victory condition.
The Ghosts will collectively vote in the Ghost QT for one person to Bane each Night.
Ghost may talk in thread, PM other players, participate in QT's, etc.
Scries
Scries will reveal four (or sometimes more) pieces of information by default. One piece of information will be the default for that scry type (typically Team), one piece will be one of the target's Strengths of Play values. The other two will be random. When using a scry you may choose to sacrifice one of your random scries to choose what your third piece of information is.
Scriable information: Team, Role, Alignment, Faction, City, Location, Alias, Items, Gold, Strengths of Play values, and possibly others.
Scry Interference: When two or more players scry the same target during a night the results they get back are a random mix of the target and one of the other scriers. Scriers are not informed that this has happened.
Alignments:
Every player will have two (2) Alignments. One on the Law-Chaos scale (Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic) and one on the Good-Evil scale (Good, Neutral, Evil).
This will look like so: Chaotic Evil.
Won't look like: Evil Chaotic.
Or: Evil Good (though that would be funny.)
Neutral + Neutral = True Neutral (Don't confuse either of these Neutrals with the Neutral Team.)
For both sets there is the victory condition of having your alignment be in the majority alive at the end of the game. (So if you're Chaotic Evil and both Chaos and Evil have the most members alive, two wins. If you were Lawful Evil one loss, one win.)
Factions:
There are six factions. Each faction has a win condition and when they reach the half way point that faction gains a power. Aside from their names all other information about factions, including if there are really only six, is secret.
Erien's Followers
Remnants of Sharn
St Trinians Loyal
Bandit Gang
Infernal and Celestial Alliance
The Lost Traitors
Cities
Most players will be members of one of six cities. Each City has a win condition and when they reach the half way point that City gains a power.
All players will start in one of them. During the Day you may choose either to stay in the city you're in or move to one of the others. At the end of the Day phase it will be announced which Aliases moved to which Location. If a player hasn't moved for three Days in a row their Alias will be reported found at their Location.
A City will cease to exist if at any point there is only one member of the city or no members of that City are in it. Those who become Cityless will join membership in one of the other Cities at the end of the phase following the dissolution of their city. Which City they join can be influenced by that person as well as those who make up the Cities. By default they are more likely to join whichever city(ies) caused them to be cityless, if applicable.
At the start of the game there will be two members who are part of any City and will end up a member of one by the end of Day 1.
Cities
R'lyeh
Atlantis
Sigil
Mos Eisley
Saffron
Fuyuki
Aliases
Each player will have an Alias. I'm not repeating myself. It does what it's mentioned to be important for earlier, sheesh.
Each player should tell us what they would like their Alias to be in their personal QT. Please don't make them overly long (first and last name fine, first second third fourth fifth and sixth, not so much) or a nonsensical string of numbers/letters (R2-D2 is ok, 23db838gdiguq2h is not ok).
Anonymous Messages
Once per each phase, each player may send one message from their Alias to another Alias in the City they are both in.
Events: Guess we'll find out eh?
Gold
Gold is used to keep you warm at night buy things from the store. Each player will start with 2-3 Gold and each Day will gain 1 Gold.
Items:
Some items can be purchased in the store (this will be found above the Player list). Some are randomly distributed at the start of the game. Some will be able to be found during the daily search.
Items may be bought from the store during the Night phase. You may pass any items you possess to any number of other players (1 player per item though wiseguy) during the Night. You may not pass an item you bought during the Night you bought it.

Key to the Vault
May be used publicly during the Day to enter the Vault in addition to the number of other challengers if the first one used of the Day or may be used during the Night to steal a random item and a random amount of gold from another player. Allows entering the Vault two days in a row but, not a third.
?
The Search
Each Day each player may search the thread (that's right the thread, not Cities, because we're weirdos) for Gold, Items, nothing, or nothing with random flavor because we were feeling silly. The available spots for searching are one for each player currently alive (or dead but abducted or such). (Eg: If there are 21 players alive, there are 21 spots available to search.) Spots are claimed by declaring which spot you're searching in orange in a first come first claimed basis. Each player may (normally) only search one spot per Day.
Auction
When a player dies, the next day their gold and items go up for auction. Players may bid whatever they wish on the auction in green. The Narrators will determine who wins based on what is deemed the most valuable bid. Those who did not win the auction keep their stuff. You can offer to bid things you don't actually have and will be counted as having bid only the amount of whatever that you actually have. If the results are a tie the gold/items are split evenly (or at least as close as can be managed). If nobody wins the auction then that person's gold and items go into the following Day's search pool.
The Vault
Each Day phase a group of people may choose to forgo searching the thread and may instead enter the Vault. This is done by stating they do so in purple followed by the number they are on the list to enter. There they will face challenges and compete with each other for treasures lost and unknown. These challenges will use the same stats used in the lynch contest but, in a variety of ways. Any person who entered the Vault the previous day is barred from entering the next. The Vault is ever changing and as such the number who many enter, the challenges, and the rewards will be different each Day.
Autolynches: After three days of not voting you'll be up for autolynching and we'll trying to replace those that would get autolynched instead of having to autolynch them to preserve game balance ("balance") as much as possible. So we'll probably have an autolynch replacement signup list as soon as we end recruiting.
Other
Don't share your personal QTs with other people. Don't ask them to share yours with them. Unless otherwise stated any special actions are performed in your personal QT. If you create new QTs please share them with us so we can enjoy the full madness of this beast.
Whoops. Day and Night phases are both 72(ish) hours long.

It meshes well with the character we made for ourselves here.

Bigger picture:
TBF, sorry, no. It would kinda be pointless to force you to pick games if you just chose one to create a role. However, you can choose such a game, and then we'll use one of the roles used in the iteration chosen.

My almighty and all knowing extended Signature lies HERE! Now includes awesome quotes!
If I'm needed in a FFRP scene, or someone has an idea for one of my characters, PM me. It's more likely to be received than anything else.
Is it strongly encouraged to play as 'myself,' or would it be okay for me to bring back Daisy from St. Trinian's? Either way, I'd like a role from Mutants. Something bladescape didn't get to use in the actual game would be nice, but I'll be happy with whatever.
I will join this game and pick USB Though I don't know the setting that much but I will try and roleplay something.
I do have two major questions that impact everybody with their answers:
If we get a role that is side specific in the original are we guarranteed to be on that side in this game?
If we get a role that had a non-standard win condition in the original do we keep that win condition in this game, get the standard win condition or get a completly new win condition?
@Rogue Nine: Witchunt is fine, though we probably won't make this a no pm game. Though, lol @ the idea of including one of the other meta style game in this meta game.
Edit: Hey, you chose my favorite Witchunt. Nice!
Edit 2:@cd4: If we get a role that is side specific in the original are we guaranteed to be on that side in this game?
No. If we get a role that had a non-standard win condition in the original do we keep that win condition in this game, get the standard win condition or get a completely new win condition?
Probably? We'll see.
And you too have picked one of the couple games I'm proud of.

Szilard....good job on making us ask "how are we even going to incorporate that!?" *thumbs up* Approved!
Edit: @TheGrimmace: Sure, why not.
@Bladescape: Onime has a point. You should make another 4th ed game sometime now that all the races/classes that ever will be made for it are out now. (People just need to not kill me Night 1 again.)

EDIT: Other games I think would be fun, but am not suggesting for myself (No links because I'm lazy):
Death Note
Fate/Stay Night
Invasion of the Zombies
Playground Squares WW
SEU
World of Darkness
So...you're saying you don't want...whichever that game was about the eating contest and the final fantasy X game so that each lynch can be a contest for "WHO. EATS. THAT. MONSTER!" ?
