I think that the genealogy diagram is meant to be actual pictures, and they only look like runes in the non-close-ups because we see so little detail. This is supported by the fact that the dragon's "rune", the largest one, still identifiably looks like a dragon.
I don't think that we should treat the patriarchal dragon any differently than anyone else on the diagram, and should instead just treat him as one of "Genealogy diagram figures". Yes, his position in the diagram is recognizable, but by that argument, you could call "fourth row, second-from-left genealogy figure" a recognizable character, and that way madness lies.
On the corpses, I'm torn. Precedent is pretty clear that we count recognizable extras from a large group, since we did so for the Sapphire Guard, and the Draketeeth look about as distinct as the Guard did. On the other hand, it's a big headache to keep track of them, and I don't really see the benefit of tracking Draketooth corpses separately, rather than a single listing for "Draketooth Corpses".

We did the Sapphire Guard because we were given a shot of everyone in the Sapphire GUard. We have never seen the entire cafeteria of corpses, so we don't know the universe of Draketooths (Draketeeth?)

I'm not sure what the relevance of that is. Whether we've seen them all or not, no two corpses that we have seen have been identical.

Sure they have. The corpse Durkon tried to raise is obviously the guy with a bug on his neck on the near side of the closest table to the door in #841, between left-leaning-ponytailed-guy and flat-on-her-face-long-haired-girl.
As far as that issue goes, I'm personally surprised by how low Vaarsuvius ranks. I guess that bit in the interview where Rich mentions that s/he was underdeveloped prior to DStP was pretty accurate.
I still think we should be counting the Draketooth corpses. So far, none of them have been identical, and I don't see any reason why you think that would be the case.
This is sort of a thread with a specific purpose. Posting random stuff like that - or your weird little tangent about South Park in the OOTS Quiz thread - is honestly kind of annoying.

This, very much so. If we're counting the banner-squiggles that presumably represent a red dragon that is presumably the same red dragon as the Empress of Blood in her youth, then that is very definitely the same Draketooth that Durkon is seen trying to resurrect that appeared in #841.

DOes someone want to compile a list of Draketooth family corpse appearace sfor me? I don't want to do it. I'm still having post-traumatic stress from trying to keep track of all those Sapphire Guard paladins.

Is this what you mean?
Draketooth male with messy hair - appears in 842 (panel 3) and then twice again in 844 and 845. And in the lunchime scene, I believe that's him on the left end of the closest table to the OotS. So 4 appearances, and a +1 for his extra appearance in the double comic.
Draketooth female with braided hair - appears in 842 (panel 12) then again in 845. Also seems to be the one in the lunchtime panel, closest table to the OotS, leaning against a bald man. 3 appearances.
Draketooth male in armour with greying hair - appears in 844 (panel 6) and in the lunchtime scene is at the same table as the above characters, lying down with a woman at his feet. 2 appearances.
'Ass humour' Draketooth male with spiky hair and cyan-blue shirt - appears in 845 panel 6, and (I think) this is him in the lunchtime scene, mid-left, facing away with half of his head off-panel. 2 appearances.
The two Draketooths in 842, panel 15 don't seem to appear in the lunchtime panel. Them and all the other Draketooths in the dining room have only appeared once.

As for Tsukiko, she's appeared in 25 strips so far...of course she won't be appearing in any more strips ever since her "group hug" with her own wights...
28, actually, as you'd know if you'd read the first post. It would be really great if you would keep your posts relevant.
I've decided to call them Draketooth Unresurrected, Draketooth with Braided Hair, Draketooth Armored, and Draketooth Comedian, respectively. By using Draketooth in the beginning, they'llbe easier to find if we have to add more appearances to them. (I suspect Draketooth Comedian will get at least one more appearance.)
