The obvious choice is, of course, both groups. At once. With a time limit. And insane puzzles.

Back from Gen Con. I'll get an IC post up a bit later.

I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow and won't be back until Monday. It looks like my Internet access won't be as good as I had hoped, so I'll probably be posting irregularly until then. Feel free to NPC Lucan if necessary.
Hi all, sorry for the huge delay on my part. GenCon was a bit more crazy and draining than I expected. I'll try and get an IC post up either late tonight or early tomorrow.
-edit- Also, could I get a bluff check from Eltain (with a+4 circumstance bonus)?

So, that's a fun curve-ball to throw the group. Glad to have Haberdashery back.
Also, I'm trying to delay the combat just a bit, since both DSCrankshaw and Mando Knight are out until next week. But I feel that you guys are about to be in for the most epic fight of y'all's life.
Yeah, definitely glad to see Haberdashery back with us again. I have a feeling you're right about this upcoming battle; I'm looking forward to it. You're absolutely right though, we should wait until we have all hands on deck for it.
So, in light of Orsik's thoughts, I think maybe I should point out that last we saw Shep he was wearing a golden kimono (or maybe purple, I think he's worn both). Is that still the case? Personally I think that the beautiful silk garment exudes an atmosphere of even more peace than the green robe and cap that was suggested.
No, see, the lavender kimono is actually something that's been long-established.
Eltain is kind of starting to want to get all stabby on Zyrr. But first there's this succubus he wants revenge on, and also what we came here for in the first place...
And no, I don't have a plan for what I'm doing, why would I ever do a silly thing like that.

Hmmm, y'see, I don't think the Baba Yaga much cares for gold. Or purple. Or kimonos, for that matter. And the thing is, when you're doing favors for an established and powerful older woman to get something in return, she gets to pick out what you're wearing.

Unfortunately, the Baba Yaga's tastes are a bit...odd.
You should have stuck with the Kimono.
Also, could I get an intimidate check and a ranged basic attack from Eltain?
Intimidate: (1d20+19)[29]
Roll for attack, whatever my bonus is: (1d20)[12]
Ah, right, the reason nobody tries to do anything creative in 4e. Regardless of my bonus, that will not hit anyone. 8+...DEX is +2? Minus whatever the penalty is for trying to use something that isn't a weapon. Not going to be a successful intimidate either. Blah.

Totally agreed here. That's one of my biggest pet peeves with the system. Higher level 4th completely kneecaps you for trying anything that isn't one of your powers.

That's assuming you don't have a DM who understands how dice-curves & high-level play works. You don't have an amazing dex, but it's an above average roll and you're simply trying to splash some in the mouth of a creature who is screaming at you. Now, that's not simple to do if you're wanting her to drink the majority of it, but some of it'll get in there. So, she'll be attacked by the poison (+22 vs. her fort), but she'll have a circumstance bonus to her defense since it wasn't a fantastic roll. Luckily, Succubi aren't know for their amazing Fort (not counting the natural immunity to STDs and training in endurance. Hey-Oh!).
(1d20+22)[25]
--edit-- ok, so a roll of 3 on the poison's attack won't really do it. But that doesn't mean that it wasn't a legit attempt. IC post coming soon.
I just went from excited about the fight to nervous. It seemed do-able before (if only barely), now I'm not so sure.
Well, you've got 7 PCs, and I'm expecting y'all to be throwing everything and the kitchen sink at these guys (and when y'all unleash dailies, things get scary). Plus there may be some other factors that you don't know about yet that could turn things in your favor.
But yes, this is going to be a ridiculous fight. I'm not certain you'll walk away from it, but if you do it'll be insanely epic.
Oh, sorry, almost forgot. Could I get an insight check from Eltain/Zyrr?
If we don't, it'll be an absolutely epic way to die.
Oh, and I've actually got back-up-plans in case y'all die. I started preparing a few back during the beholder fight, so a TPK doesn't necessarily mean the end of the game.
Ash has been waiting to show of his stuff, and you throw fire resistant enemies at us...Thanks, Hzurr.
It's all good though. Ash is either about to piss off a whole bunch of devils or...well, now that I think about it, that's pretty much what he's about to do.
