One of the problems I found was that a DC that high meant, not so much that I was allowed to use my highest-ranked skills, but rather pushed to. I really wanted to try a diplomacy against the duergar in my post, but I would've needed to roll an even 20 to succeed. In the future I'd recommend something more like using two of your character's trained skills against a hard DC and one untrained against a normal, or even 1 of the former 2 of the latter. That opens up a lot more options in a creative exercise like this.

Mando, do you want me to hold off a bit, or go ahead with the update?

What drow is this they speak of? I see fey, certainly, but no drow. Maybe they mean that other shadowy-skinned man who looks ambiguously Russian.
Ah, yes, sorry, I should have made the perception roll first:
(1d20+21)[41] vs DC 34 (we'll assume that Zyrr is taking 10 on his roll, so it's 10 + 19 bluff + 5 hat)
edit - drat, I should have saved that 20 for something more important. But yes, she is using a magical doo-dad (technical term) to try and see through illusions. Drow checkpoint and all that. I'll clarify in the IC post
Oh! I hadn't even seen that Hzurr had posted until just now. I'm sure that the information would have gotten shared around the party at some point during the long trek. I would respond, but I'm going to be leaving town here in just a few minutes, so have to run. Feel free to respond before I return.
I guess the question at this point is how much do we really want to share with this woman?
You know, I didn't get the impression the drow woman was planning anything fatal. We could just let Zyrr get a whipping.
Yep, this is an option as well. I'll wait to hear from Toric before I assume anything.
So does that mean that everyone else will want to sneak around past these guys in the meantime, or are you going to retreat until you can see what was on that parchment that Zyrr stole?

Would it be possible to start one more to the left?
*Narrows eyes* Why? If it's to help you kill things better, you quite honestly do not need any help in that arena. You kill things awesome.
Since Pavick is last in the initiative order, I'm waiting to post until others have. Right now, it's seeming likely that Pavick will throw an illusionary wall across part of the web in an attempt to slow down a few of the enemy.
