What song are you trying to play? I'm not getting a video. Maybe there's something wrong with the site. Are my YouTube links working?

My first link was to Hollywood Undead's Everywhere I Go. My second one was to Roll a D6. I can't begin to guess what you are linking to, but if you say what it is, I will attempt to look it up.

Grr >.< yeah yours are working nice to see another undead fan once in awhile, and the D6 parody made me laugh my first two attempt were A Prophesy by Asking Alexandria and the last was Stop Reading, Start Doing Pushups Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (a.k.a D.R.U.G.S it'll bring them up if you type that in to)

Well... I'm generally not into screamo and post-hardcore, but in the interest in maintain fairness as a bard, here goes:

A Prophecy, by Asking Alexandra

and

Stop Reading, Start Doing Pushups, by DRUGS

There ya go!

Well... I'm on page 218 of Looking for Game. Ima say that it seems like a cross-breed of d20 system games (not D&D specific, but definitely in the spirit) WOW, and Lord of the Rings.

So... Dungeon of War. Or World of the Dragons. Or The Warlord of Dragons. Something like that. Dandy Wowlotr?

Or, you could just say, it's a traditional fantasy themed comic series that gives tribute to the whole genre. Either way, I like the series!

Anyway... back to business. *Hands the DM a cup of coffee* So... y'know what day it is?

FRIDAY!!!! We start our campaign today! Wakey-wakey eggs-and-bacey!

If we start in town, you'll have time to figure that out, K. You can spend part of your session doing some shopping after you find out what our quest is. I mean, I'll probably have to do some shopping. I'm a city girl, so I don't have many traveling provisions.

But if you're talking about clothes, your first outfit is free. Just pick one based on needs or fluff. For instance, some clothes come with lots of pockets, so you don't need extra belt pouches. Other outfits give circumstance bonuses or remove circumstance penalties, like resistance to cold weather, or removal of diplomacy penalties. While others, like the monk's outfit, can be converted into rope.

It's just all about what you're interested in going for.

Too sleepy to decide and read descriptions xD Well i guess we have a Explorer’s outfit as first one right? Sounds legit to me. If that's the case a Cleric’s vestments is a must i think and probably Traveler’s outfit?

@DM Will be there winter when we begin? If so i will buy a winter outfit.

What's that, the first outfit is free? YAAAY! That means I can afford armor, and with enough left over for a signet ring and sealing wax.

We're talking about the same type of outfit, right?

By RAW, your first set of clothes have always been free... and weirdly, weightless.

That's cool One thing i have learned so far for D&D is when you get something for free just get it

Does your first whatever that is? Except the really expensive ones like Royal?

Here's what it says, verbatim:

CLOTHING
Different characters may want different outfits for various occasions.
A beginning character is assumed to have an artisan’s, entertainer’s,
explorer’s, monk’s, peasant’s, scholar’s, or traveler’s outfit. This first
outfit is free and does not count against the amount of weight a
character can carry.
-PHB, pg 131

I guess, I technically have to pay for my Courtesan's Outfit. Unless I want to switch to Scholar's Outfit. That sucks. Hmm...

Continues to be cool. Nonsense but cool xD It probably doesn't weight because the capacity is about all the others except what the character wears? Don't know

EDIT: Will we have appearance stats? Or that's just a homebrew rule i am aware of? xD As we have it in the real life campaign i'm in we roll 3d6 and the result is about how handsome/beautiful you are. And that's nice for the RP part.

I'm pretty sure that Appearance is not D&D. I think it's another d20 thing. But, there are certain ways in which appearance can give you certain CHA bonuses. For instance, a Disguise kit helps Bluff when acting in character, which I have. That's just one example.

Wasn't it good? I mean Richard is one of the best villains ever!!!! And i think that appearance thing is a home rule my DM has It's almost 24:00 here so i would love if someone could throw me a bone about when we are about to begin. If it's in 6-7 hours it will be morning here so i don't think i can wait that much. If it's 3-4 hours that's fine for me.

Hey guys sorry I was gone for so long I had a Debate Meeting forthe tournament I will be preparing for incredibly tonight.
I will start up the IC Very Very soon, but expect slow posts relatively tonight, and discount any real activity Saturday. Sunday will be a much better postage day for me in terms of consistency .

Here you go get in there and I hope you're as excited as I am to start this

I just posted there! YAY! I hope I did it right. I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to post my skill checks on there, or if I'm supposed to do it on a different thread. I'm also unsure if the DM wanted to roll those checks for me, or if I'm supposed to wait for permission from the DM to roll, but I had freaking awesome rolls, so I hope they qualified!

*crosses fingers*

It's kind of funny. PbP is the perfect forum for being an acting or singing Bard, because you can link to YouTube for every visual you want to create. And what do I pick? Oratory. I do speeches.

It isn't easy writing a speech about an evil empire you know, IRL, absolutely nothing about. But I hope I made it fun to read. Even though it's probably never going to be as fun as using this as my anti-establishment speech.

I really liked your speech! And It doesn't matter when you post your rolls we just have to wait for the DM to decide success or fail, but where did you get those rolls? It doesn't look like you used the forum roller

I haven't decided whether or not Richard is actually a villain. I'm curious as to why the monk let Richard take over Cale's training, though. I had a funny feeling that Richard needed a better reason than mere boredom to suddenly become Cale's BFF.

I like the story, but I'm disappointed in the way the writer handles deaths though. They're just so sudden. I really wanted to care when Krunch died, but it all happened so fast, that I didn't really have time to feel it. I guess it plays to the idea that death is no big deal in a fantasy game setting. You just re-roll something and go on, but I just can't get sad about it. I felt more grief about One-Eyes death in Goblins than I did about Krunch's in LFG, and One-Eye was a built in red shirt. Still, Richard keeps me laughing, the other characters are fun and dynamic, and I'm anxious to see where the story goes from here. I just hope it doesn't get tedious now that the writer has chosen to split the plot between Cale and Benny. It often does that. That's why a lot of comic book writers keep one main plot and run tiny little subplot story arcs, rather than break up the main plot into two main plots. Time will tell.
