Thanks! I'll try them out soon. But do they work if you import them over to musescore.com?
No, musescore.com uses the default soundfont. Also, in 1.2 (but not 1.1, the soundfont re-sets itself after you exit (or maybe just when you crash*).
Also, protip: I find many people don't know that you can use create->instruments to change the instruments of a score after creating it
(Also, my account on musescore.com is Phantasy_snot)
*I usually make it stop responding so untitled works I haven't save will re-open when I re-load it. I cause this by opening a very strange midi file of Viva La Vida.

Well, I have *a* Redcloak theme now, but I'm not sure it's quite what I was looking for (owing to intentionally using a weird time signature for reasons including "goblins are a fantasy culture" and "I wanted to try it"). Don't know if I want to post it or try for something more normal.

Dude, my first song here had some measures of 13/4. Post it.
It just occurred to me that I never actually did any of the things I considered in the post where I claimed Redcloak's theme LOL. It's 7/16 and Xykon's theme as written by Curtis is seven notes. I could have easily used it for that crazy piccolo thing...
Meh, no reason to go changing things now.
Have an idea for Malack but it looks like Othesemo already called that. Got nothing for LG. So maybe Roy's next?
Do we have anything IFCC-related, besides the Darth V theme?

I like what you did with the time signature, I think it fitted the song quite well.
In all honesty though, It doesn't feel like Redcloak to me, but that doesn't mean it can't.
If you get the time, try learning how to make a videoscore to have the song in fluidr3

To be totally honest, there isn't (or shouldn't) be any stigma to composing themes to characters other people have "claimed". We all have different composing styles and views of the characters, and more music is never bad. Go for whatever you want.
Oh, and Othesmo, is it okay if I rehost your songs on Mediafire? 4shared is a little annoying, requiring accounts for download and a 20 second waiting time.
Like I said, wasn't sure if it was really what I was looking for either.
I'll look into videoscoring. Thanks.

Agreed in principle, but I think we should have one of everything before we go and repeat ourselves, yeah?

The waiting period is over- after exactly five months, I've finally gotten around to finishing Vengeace (Malack's Theme), hosted on mediafire for your convenience.
Well, complete-ish, I guess. I was originally going to make it the second of a three-movement Greenhilt piece, but I figured might as well put up what I have so far for critique. My only complaint is that it's too short, which is understandable as I made it rather quickly, but I'm not sure where to expand.
As for getting the correct soundfont, I think what I want to do about that is turn those into videos for Youtube, but my google-fu is not bringing anything useful to me. Tips appreciated. I've got a Mac.

I've put it in the OP.
As far as critique goes, I think that while it is a really good opening for a theme for Roy, it really doesn't lead anywhere (yet). It'd be good as the first part of a suite, but I think it needs some more action. Getting a few more instruments (besides the choir and percussion, you only have a trumpet) might help. In sum, I think it will sound much better when the rest of the piece is finished. It's a little unstable as a standalone piece.
Updated the Roy piece. Still feels like it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on what.
I think...I guess I think that it just needs to to have a little more action. Roy's a fighter, and a slow, meaningful theme is great for conveying his backstory, his seriousness, and his character in general, but he's also a guy with a big honking sword filled with kickass to the brim. I think it needs to have a slightly more fast-paced section at some point.
Also, the transition between the two pieces is a little abrupt because of the sudden change in timpani rhythm, but that's just a small thing.
