Hey, i never questioned it. Bards could rule the world if they used their powers for selfish games. Its like Tarquin said. Also, if this game is still going when Psionics expanded hits the SRD, i'm making Sav take a cohort using one of the new classes from it. Because its awesome. For us.
sorry, i missed that. still waking up. lol. two days a week to sleep in, and i'm still up at six in the morning, after going to bed well into midnight. doesn't work very well.
And i mean, i completely missed the entire post with it. thats why i asked. lol
Once again, apologies to Savior for having your character on the sidelines for this one. At least Kormak will be at 97% (Factoring in the 4 damage he took) once he actually joins the battle.
From that spell you cast on Altair a while ago (Shield Other). I've ruled that it's still in effect. So whenever Altair took damage, it was immediately halved and the remaining half transferred over to you as per the spell. I didn't want you to waste the spell or anything, so that's why it is still working this time regardless of the distance between you two.
Kormak may dispel the spell at any time if you'd like.
I'll give Savior a chance to speak before moving on. Ortega is not the best at talking with a potential hostile foe and might like a bit of healing after that powerful arrow he took to the knee.
I used to be an adventurer like you, but then i took an arrow to the knee.... XD and yea, Ortega was only talking because he'd rather be the target than Kormak. This is honestly a very intriguing story so far. really enjoying it. you did an awesome job so far.
So, Kormak used a wand of cure light wounds? I think Ortega needs a bit more than 1d8+1 HP before he can be healed to full. And wait, you've been carrying around that thing this whole time? Why didn't you restore Ortega to full before trying to tick off the archer?
Oh, and I'll need a roll for that wand, unless it is somehow a very price wand of Maximize Cure Light Wounds (Which is still only 9 HP).
Can i try using autohypnosis to avoid the four round shaken effect? it sounds like it would be a worthwhile use of it, but its not listed under the skills effects.
Sure. Just roll an Autohypnosis check with a +4 vs the Intimidate check (35). That will be your new Intimidate-Defense and will determine how many round, if any, Altair will be shaken. So roll Higher than an 18 or else we'll just keep the 18.
I'll add the extra 4 damage to the guy you are fighting. He still looks pretty good though.
I don't know, I gave you Autohypnosis because Intimidate and Fear Effects are pretty similar abilities. I could do it with sickened because of some correlation it might have to the anti-poison aspect of Autohypnosis, but that's kind of stretching it...
So sorry, and yes sickened and shaken stack due to being 2 seperate types of status effects (Like being both blind and deaf at the same time).
thought so, just had to double check. as for the autohypnosis thing. i only asked because it was worth a shot. besides, with a -4 penalty, i probably wouldn't have made it anyways, lol
And please note on your character sheet how much nonlethal damage you've taken. So far it's been 16. And don't forget to keep up with Ortega either (regular damage wise).
I'm also no longer giving you the Shield Other effect anymore seeing as how I gave you guys the effect while being far away because Kormak was in that one noted space on the Battle Map in spirit (I didn't want to be too much of a jerk for separating the party). Now that you've both split on your own accord, the effect won't be active again til you guys are reunited.
Oh i understand about the shield other. We appreciate that you don't make it dispel the moment we split up like its supposed to. As for that, i keep forgetting to update the sheet every time i take damage, but i keep it up to date. mostly. Ortega should be correct already.
Just to clarify, you get an AoO against the Punk (at a -4 considering both sickened and shaken effects) as he moves away from you. He is still in the combat area though as noted on the map, so you still might be able to do something. I also apologize for rolling badly for your saves; but rolling saves make the game progress faster.
You can roll to make the Saves against the Entangle effect if you want.
Nah dice gods hate me for saves. I wouldn't be able to catch up to him with the difficult terrain, and throwing weapons wouldn't likely hit at this rate. with the -4 to my already subpar ranged attacks. Even Altair knows when he's beaten.
Think i've finally found the thing about large weapons with powerful build. It seems like a half giant can use Large sized weapons, and be treated as large for that purpose. As such, from now on, Ortega is summoning Large sized weapons. Gotta make the big guy pull his weight. I mean he only killed like...3 Astral Constructs XD
I'm fine with you rolling initiatives. And i'm not gonna stop until we've killed them all, even if it drains Kormak to his last spell for the day. Noxville is going down!!!
If Savior wants to roll Kormak's initiative himself, he is free to do so.
I do apologize for the sudden Critical Hit against Kormak during that surprise attack though, but Kormak never beat the Punk's Bluffs of "Not being able to use his powers" so I he never received a hint about what was to come. Ortega did but he is a NPC who is also a follower of Altair, so he probably wouldn't attack Altair or say anything bad about him unless Altair did something offensive against him or an ally.
And apologies to Meemass for never telling you what I was doing. Seeing as you're friends (maybe in IRL) with Savior, I felt like you might reveal my secret plan ( Muahahaha!) about the whole disguise thing. And it was so funny that Ortega gave fake Altair an Axe (which Punk did drop if you were wondering); I was like, "Maybe Punk should use this on them or something, lol."
