Welcome to the OOC thread! Please post your character sheet first.
If I need you to make a roll, I'll say so in here. Any rolls and OOC discussion are to be done here as well.
My first replies to IC stuff will probably be between Wed and Thurs, but I can post OOC stuff more often (since I don't have to come up with flavorful language and descriptions and whatnot).
The “Cherry-Blossom Storm” is the flagship for Yamaha’s new line of electronic weapons that feature no moving parts. Rather than a standard magazine, the bullets are stacked in-line in each of the four barrels, allowing the firing of ultra-fast short bursts. The Fubuki may only fire narrow bursts (not wide), but burst recoil is handled like SA recoil (–1 Recoil on the second burst each Action Phase only). Includes an integral folding stock.

John Arnhem (6, 6)
Spoiler
John is Martin's father, and the UCAS Senator for Penselvania. While John is perhaps a little annoyed at his son's burst of conscience, they both very carefully avoid talking about that. However, he did convince Martin to go for full cosmetic surgery before starting this little trip, so he's grudgingly accepted it.
Leris Talar (5, 4)
Spoiler
Leris is the head detective at Lone Star's PD, and knows Martin from perhaps a dozen improptu legal cases. They've built up a rapport over time, although the friendship certainly runs both ways.
Backstory
Spoiler
Martin was born as the son of the UCAS senator for Penselvania, in 2051. He was an elf born to human parents, but in part due to his worrying natural charisma, he always did remarkably well in school, as well as his formidable natural gift for mathematics, which was developed extensively by his family, who basically spent a remarkable amount of Nuyen hothousing his abilities. He won a cascade of mathematical competitions, but his families, and his, perennial fascination was always persuasion. He was taught well, and today is one of the most overwhelmingly gifted speakers around.
After leaving school, he managed to get into Yale on the backs of both superb SAT scores and family connections. He graduated several years later with degrees in Advanced Mathematics and Law, and avoided the prospect of an easy job with a megacorp in favour of hopefully one day following in his father's footsteps, and entering politics.
Of course, it would be profoundly difficult for Martin to do well in the political sphere, his metahumanity combining with the magical abilities that he manifested in his final year. Nonetheless, he did not intend to give up - losing was not something that came easily to Martin, and thus he decided to enter legal practise for the time being.
Four years ago, Martin moved to Seattle. While he had many gifts, business administration had never been among them, and his rigid moral code found him moving almost entirely to a Pro Bono footing. Within a few years, he had constructed an elaborate second identity, and has recently moved to Shadowrunning, which he justifies to himself as a "fact-finding expedition" although in reality it is pretty much needed for him to assuage his fragile conscience.

Damn, about 29 stats in one swipe. Since I'm clearly the next I'm booby-trapping every inch of the Maze.
Torvalus was born in London, from a fairly rich family he had no need for anything, he was a driven child, although at a young age he was perhaps a bit aimless, his interests took him from sports, to games and whatever passed his fancy. Until one single event.
That event occurred while he was playing around in his family relic room, he bumped into a Clockwork Clock high upon a marble stand. It feel into the ground and burst into hundreds of pieces. While looking back at that moment from the future it was fairly amusing what his reaction was.
He found every single piece and locked himself in the library, and in a single night every book on clockwork and clock-making was read and the Clock itself stood repairing. Such was born his passion.
From that moment he studied hard and was hailed as a child prodigy. When he was 15 years old he started his first college degree.
First came his Doctorate degree in Engineering then he branched out. Two Master’s Degrees in Chemistry and Business as well the equivalent in the area of Firearms. He also studied Electronics and Mechanics becoming quite proficient in them. He published in peer-review journals in several areas as well as developing a new firearm that showed much promise. And all of this only at 28 years of age.
Then came another pivotal moment in his life. While walking home from the first day of his job he watched a group of Shadowrunners crash their cars near him and starting fighting another group. And while that happened a women left the car, she was restrained and soon passed out but not before looking at him with pleading eyes. He could do nothing else than grab her and run, soon enough one group noticed him escaping with her and they knew who he was.
For one good deed he had to leave his life behind, he came to Seattle and gave his weapon design to Haraldr Keiran in exchange for a new life and soon enough he himself became a shadowrunner when doing a favor for Royale "Fancy Boy" Laurent.
And the woman? She doesn't remember nothing, and any search he made was tracked almost instantly. Perhaps in the future some more light would be shed on her, but for now he takes care of her.
Changed a few things mostly because a few of the skills i thought were Profession Knowledge were not.
Hound, or rather, Charlie Miller, was born in a poor, polluted, gang-ridden Ork neighborhood of Manhattan under a vast Ork family. Although he had numerous brothers and sisters at home, he spent most of his time on the streets, violence and fights a common thing in his daily life, almost always against Orks stronger then him. He wasn't particulary stronger or capable of taking more hits or even smarter then his opponents, but he had speed in his favor, both in actions and in decision making, plus an almost supernatural instinct whent it came to fights, avoiding hits and landing plenty of them, and if it was possible, landing the first blow. Who cares if the other guy is bigger, stronger and meaner when he can't breathe right thanks to a broken nose? Like his grandpa Lou used to say, "hit fast, hit hard and, best of all, hit first".
At the age of 15 he had already joined one of the local gangs, and for a while, things were going well. Until one day, when some members of a rival gang (a more powerfull gang, with more influence and better guns) had outnumbered and cornered Charlie and a couple of his gang pals, acting smug while at it. Knowing that a fight could break out at a moments notice, Hound decided to be in control of the when and took the initiative. No one expects the underdog to begin the fight, so by the time the rival gang got what was going on the numbers were already even. At the end, Hound and his friends were victorius, unfortunetely for him, one of the casualty of the shootout was the rival gang lider's younger brother. Needless to say, if Hound wanted to live long enough to see his next birthday, he needed to leave, fast, that has the first boot to drop.
A solution presented itself through Charlie's oldest brother, who was in UCAS' army and managed to set him up in a division far from home. Properly being given an oficial SIN, his gang career ended and the military carrer began (both very similar in his opinion, though the later is more organized but the former had cosier beds). It didn't take long for him to rise through the ranks (having plenty of combat experience, unlike the other recruits, didn't hurt), refining his abilities and adquiring some ones, plus a few extra body parts, incluiding an alpha grade muscle replacement, a real work of art. He eventually joined a black ops team, composed of him, a vehicle expert orc girl, a hacker dwarf, two humans, one female and one male, with varied skills and a mage elf. Together they did a lot of the country's dirty work. It was rough and tough and the pay was nothing to write home about, but strangely enough he liked it. He went well with his coworkers, being the closest thing of a family he ever experienced, and it looked like he had found his place in life.
The other boot dropped just a year ago, in a datasteal in a known Mafia family base of operations in FDC. It was supposed to be a breeze, in and out before they even knew it. The plan was solid with Charles given watch duty for this mission, monitoring from afar and providing rescue and/or long distance support if needed. It was a complere failure, with the mobsters knowing exactly what they'd do, they didn't stand a chance, being captured. Almost immediately he was also surrounded and outgunned. Having no choice but to surrender. Exploiting one moment of lapse from his captors, he managed to flee into an abandoned building in a remote area, where he set a little trap of his own, many kilograms of high grade explosives in a big explosian, but not before hearing them comment that they'd send him and the other 4 prisioners to Seattle, where they'd be interrogated. Considering he knew it was an inside job and didn't know who to trust, he let himself be considered KIA and slip through the system.
Determined in resolving what happened by his own hands, he shaved his head and grew a Goatee, assumed a fake ID (Ed Hughs, security consultant) and moved to Seattle. In need of both money, information and even better equipment and maybe some allies, he readily accepted the shadier jobs, figuring he won't have a hard time to adapt to them. Thus he stationed himself in Seattle with a score to settle, luckly for him he's a patient guy and knows it might be a long time before he can finally act.

Concealed weapons give a penalty to notice them. I'd roll the perception check and post the results. If you do take a gun, note the concealability mods in here please.
If you want to scout out the meeting place, describe how you do so (steakout from across the street, disguise and infiltrate, just walk in and order lunch) and when you do so, and I'll tell you what to roll in this here thread. Probably a perception + intuition with modifiers, maybe a knowledge roll too depending on what you're doing.
If you think of a knowledge you want to roll at any time, go ahead and do so. I'll tell you if you think of anything depending on successes and relevance.
And Casa del Carne is canonical, surprisingly. It gets mentioned in Attitude. Best resturant ever. :)

Does the Conceability mod from the coat and the one from a Concealale Holster stack? If so it's -3 (-2 on the coat and -1 on the Holster) on a Machine Pistol (+2, although in the description it says it's has concealability, but I think that's fluff). And I have an 8 DP on Palming. On second thought, not sure how good that is...

I think a stakeout it's best. That uses the shadowing skill, right? So 8 DP. 8 for perception too, 10 if hearing.

Well, I doubt it's going to be much relevant, but I'll try a Seattle Street Gangs knowledge test (mostly because I really want to roll some dice ).
7 Dice Pool, if I'm not mistaken, so: (7d6)[5][1][1][3][1][6][5](22)

It sure is, although the name sounds a bit weird after a while (I think it's the "del").

If I'm not mistaken, del means "of the". That may be why it seems off.
Yeah, it means "of". For "of the" I think it'd have to be "de la", although I think in the plural it'd sound better (disclaimer, I have very little spanish speaking abilities, so take this with a grain of salt, but I'm fairly sure in this case).
On something more related to the game and shadowrunning, I count 3 hits and 3 1s, so, I almost glitched my first roll. That seems promising.
Edit: I think I'll wait for my fixer to answer me (if he says he's arranged it, I won't take it, if not then I will) before deciding to take my gun, if that's ok.

@GreyMage ---- Your knowledge of local street gangs tells you that the particular area in question is the turf of the MetalHeds, a low-level gang of deviants and dropouts whose defining attribute is a love of cheap cyberware chromed to a mirror polish. They mostly deal drugs and get into turf wars with their neighbors, the Red Sams to the North and the NeoKlanners to the South.
Shadowing is indeed the skill to use here, if you decide to stake it out then go ahead and roll. Nice job on the near-glitch, btw. I like where this train is going.
@AdrianKorvedzk ---- Edit: was looking at the wrong character. Will get back to you tomorrow evening.
Still waiting for nolispe and Adlan to make an appearance, hope we didn't lose them already.

Reason: Derp Forum Glitch
Hmmm, I reckon I need to get some eyes on inside the restaurant. Snails will book a reservation for the day before, and check the place out, if it's not too swanky, I'll take my table and discretely lay some of my cameras and microphones to record the meet.

Ok, in this case:
@Destrude:
Spoiler
I'll keep my actions as it is then, I mean, I'll carry the gun. I'll also be on stakeout for a couple of hours before the time and enter after 11PM, after someone else enters the restaurant.
Shadowing roll: (8d6)[4][2][1][4][2][5][3][2](23)
Edit: One hit, I'm going to guess this isn't good.

Incidentally, I'm here - Martin isn't doing very much yet, and I haven't had much time. But standing by.

Ok, dad's back out of town, work has chilled out a bit, RL game has figured out what day it wants to be on.
Back into the saddle.
@Adrian --- Malik looks fine, extra tech help should be handy. If he's just going straight to the meeting then you might be waiting for a few posts, it looks like the others are gonna be scouting the place a bit beforehand. Also, the fact that you're a Technomancer amuses me, you might find this run to be more interesting than you expect. *evil grin*
@GreyMage --- Ok, since you haven't said explicitly, I'm guessing you want to head out and start watching the restaurant sometime after lunch? Or are you thinking closer to the meeting time? I'm gonna assume the former for the IC post, and if it's not the case then let me know and I'll change the timeframe.
And yes, three hits to your one does mean you were spotted. Luck's a fickle one, ain't she?
Ok GreyMage, I'm gonna need a Perception + Intuition at a -2 for Hound.
@Vizzi --- When does Clockwork leave to go to the meeting?
@Adlan --- If you're getting the message on the same day that the Johnson wants you to meet, getting a reservation for the day beforehand would be... tricky, to say the least. Also, Casa del Carne is roughly one step above a McDonalds in quality, reservations won't be necessary.
Next IC post should be tomorrow after work, and then again sometime around lunch/afternoon on Friday.

I was thinking closer to the meeting hour, like evening or late in the afternoon.
Now, the roll:
[rollv=Perception(3)+Int(5)-2]6d6[/rollv]
Edit: Messed it up, I forgot how to put text on the roll, I'll make another post.
* post roll count doesn't match database

This gave me cold chills...
For what it's worth, Malik keeps the TM thing hidden as well as he can. He's yet to tell any of his contacts.
