The puppy is lavished with affection. Jamie is quite lucky Dipsnig isn't within hearing range. He doesn't react well to people calling his wolves dogs.

The cub next to Pearl is petted in her sleep and squirms a little. Sophie, meanwhile is confused. You don't know what sleeping means?

She pounces at the soul bit. She wasn't even trying to take the fish bowl away in the first, but was reaching for that. I'm a bit surprised now that I'm not really tired that she could even grab the bowl in the first place. She'll put the bowl down first if need be.

The cub follows Jamie curiously. The two-legs that is bigger than Grandmummy and about as big as Mummy's master is funny and interesting.

Meanwhile, Sophie explains to Pearl: It's when people and animals lie down and rest to have more strength later.

Irene's Quest

The Spyrat has stayed far back from the group, and is now walking back to the main room and its master now that they seem to be done. It will look back every so often to make sure they're actually in the process of leaving, and if they don't appear to be it will stop and wait for them again.

When Pearl tries to pick up the pup she struggles, growling. Pets are one thing, but he doesn't want to be taken away by a strange person.
I think they'd rather stay here... although I'm not sure what wolves are doing in a mercenary base, Sophie says.

At the growling, Pearl instantly drops the puppy and scrambles to get behind Mikani. Bad puppy! she waggles a finger at the puppy, then hides again.

The pup walks away from Pearl. She looks kinda sad that the nice pet-giving person is now mean to her.
As far as I know, NO doesn't to assassinations, Sophie says. I could be wrong, though. Either way, let's get going.

Meanwhile, somewhere else in the base, Jakus gets a message on his phone, from Dipsnig:

Furt is curled up near the entrance, his collar and chain laying conveniently on top of his sleeping bulk. Seems like Slii was going to walk him at some point.

When the light shines into the tunnel, a bleary red orb opens up to glare at Jakus grumpily, and Furt lets out a low snarl.

Jakus will lead Furt out into the bed of his truck and then climb into the Diver's seat. Making sure the rat ogre is tied down first so that he doesn't fall out the back or something, he'll drive off to the Black Dragon's Den.
