Generally if we have many players I suggest going with group initiative.
Err... already doing a slight variation on it.
Monsters all have the same initiative. In the first round, anyone who rolled better than the monsters goes. Then the monsters go. Then all players go in any order. Then the monsters go. Then all players go in any order.
Pretty easy to track, really.

Leave it. Things based on random luck favor opponents more than PC's, as the opponents don't need to come back for the next fight. The 20/20/confirm = Kill houserule is thus worse for you than it is for opponents, so I'm not including it.

Sorry about statting my cohort wrong; I overlooked that rules about level being capped by your total level. I'll restat him and stuff.
Been dying of mono recently, so probably best to carry on without waiting for me at the moment.

In sword form, yes. As a homunculus, no. Does the hardness carry over?
Checking...
No, it doesn't. Per Alter Self: "You keep all extraordinary special attacks and qualities derived from class levels, but you lose any from your normal form that are not derived from class levels" (emphasis added), and you also don't get any that the new form might have. Hmm. That's annoying.
Ah well. Up to rolling up a new character?

At the next treasure haul, at one level below the lowest-level survivor (so you'll be at 5th... which also disqualifies you for Leadership, although if your old minion survives the battle, you can reclaim him anyway).
Note that I always go that way with replacement characters when I'm DMing. In one case, that resulted in someone dying and going up a level.

OK, I'm gonna go with an animated crossbow. Two questions- one, can I eventually get arcane archer, and two, will the archer abilities work for a crossbow?

It's a sufficiently sub-par PrC that I'll let you run with it if you find an Elf to teach you (not going to be overly hard).

"What exactly happened. Who are you and how did you come to be here? And also, if I may ask where do next? Do you come from a nearby village/town/hovel/city?" he says with a clinical detouched tone.
DC 10 Int check for anyone local to remember details of the nearby town; DC 10 Wis check to find it.
If trained, it's Knowledge(local) or Knowledge(Geography) to know about the town; Survival to find it.

Spot checks for Jon and Zerash, looking for anything to slow down or stop the elemental.
Zerash: [roll0]
Jon: [roll1]
Well, it hasn't left the cave, yet. The area right around the cave mouth is clear (or near enough; the ogres stopped at the first clear spot they could see).
DC 20 Knowledge (architecture and engineering) or DC 20 Craft (stonemasonry) check?

Also... fire stuns me so I cant really even fight the damn thing since if I recall they do fire damage when you hit them!
Also I am out for the week for Easter so feel free to 'put me in the backpack' or just auto-pilot me as the friendly buffer... haste/cats grace/entropic shield and feather fall at will at caster level 10...

You described the exit as exiting to a forest. Is that a REAL exit from the lair or another level. I remember you saying something about this place is dimensionally adrift or something.
Also if it is adrift would the elemental have trouble following us?

Oh, it's a real exit. And the elemental would have no problem following you, if it weren't for the lure of starting a forest fire (which... would also be rather murderous. Thankfully, you've got someone with Haste at-will handy. The golem may have problems, though, being immune to the Haste and having a speed of only 20 feet...).
