Looks like I can't grapple this thing successfully. Improved Grab doesn't work against something the same size as me, and apparently doesn't apply to touch attacks. Regular grapples are spoiled by a successful AoO, and this thing has an insane to-hit roll. Also looks like I missed my chance for an action here.
Looks like the earlier plan of running is still in effect : /

Well, Zerash is too scared to try anything. I'm not sure who else is still alive, at this point. Maybe Hadlocke, but almost everyone has been hit for massive damage by now, AFAIK.
EDIT: I didn't mean literal massive damage, as in Fort Save or die, but just a great deal of damage. Sorry if that was unclear.
Sorry I was waiting to see what everybody else did but without a good grapple everything is looking pretty bleak. Speaking of which what is everybody at. I think I haven't been hit yet (i think) and it looks like Yarvin and Johnny are down for good. Greg is seeing this fight as hopeless and isn't going to try sticking around much longer. Unless Zerash decides to speak up and convince Greg to stay he is going to leave next turn.
Running away is probably a good idea... although I think the eldritch glove has done roughly half the damage dealt to this beast. Ceres has... looks like 28 HP (basically one or two hits) before reverting back to a staff, and then you're out of meatshields.
Fortunately, the low-Int and moderate Wis thing that "takes joy in burning the creatures and objects of the Material Plane to ashes" has a lovely forest right there to distract it, once nobody's hitting it anymore (although the ensuing forest fire might be bad for you...).
It'll still take AoO's, though, for anyone retreating out of it's threat range, and is unlikely to be fooled by another illusion of a water elemental, however.

A natural 20 on the reflex save with only 1 HP left. Klaus is pretty lucky.
Edit: The Reflex save doesn't count as an action, right? Since his charge was stopped by the fire elemental's attack, he should be on the edge of its threat range and able to take a withdraw action...

... Yeah, sure, if you stop the charge when it takes a swing at you.

Ah, my mistake. I thought AoOs stopped charges, like grapples and disarms and whatnot.
If he didn't stop his charge, though, wouldn't he have provoked an AoO twice?
Nope. "Moving out of more than one square threatened by the same opponent in the same round doesn’t count as more than one opportunity for that opponent"
So if you charge through 30 feet of reach, the giant only gets to take one swing at you for it.

Well I'll try and get close to johnny if I can and drag him out. Is he still alive or dead from fire at this point? If he is alive I'm dragging him out of the cave before healing him.

Johnny's alive and conscious, and telling everyone to kill the fire elemental.
He didn't actually charge it or anything, though, so he's still standing.

Hmmm
Well I must appologise it seems.
I have indeed been avoiding this game and I do indeed feel rather bad.
I would be understating myself if I was to say I was disapointed in how that combat was handled but I do accept that is probably slightly my own mistake.
Anyway I have been looking up new charicters...
Still unsure if I should make a new charicter as I imagine you will not like my proposal.
But anyway...
I would be proposing a Magical Whip (Looking into a ring, either Sustinance or Mind Shielding(Although if we are allowed to use the rules for combining items they can be combined for exactly 13k... Interesting)) Telepath prestiging into Thrallherder...
Indeed, that prestige class that everyone hates...
Anyway the idea being she would have her cohort be a "thrall" she utterly controls and worships her as their mistress.
I am essentially trying to expand on the interesting relationship I had between Johnny and Yarin... I was rather enjoying its quirkyness...
Anyway... Thats me...
Gonna look up the Big 16 now and have a think

Hmm... yeah, the auto-replacement doesn't work for me, nor do the Believers. That PrC's out.

Hmm... I'm not using a map, and the beast just moved, so unless you attacked the beast in melee (or vice-versa) last round or some such, you can pretty much pick a point within 60 feet of him to stand.

Well, bother. Now it's after me. Should I stop attacking? OR should I continue to blindly fire blasts of eldritch power at it in hopes that it'll die before too much damage is dealt?
Fatigue makes me wax philosophic and/or babble. If I've posted something strange and tangential, that is probably the cause. This entry would be an example.

Bardic Knowledge lets the bard check "to see whether he knows some relevant information about local notable people, legendary items, or noteworthy places." - it's sadly not useful for directions.
Lorelia has no idea where the party came out of the cave.

Spoiler
You've seen the exact same ring on a lot of sailors
The rod matches one you've seen on a few wizards that wanted to be sneaky
At a glance, the scroll is nothing special - low-level spells.
The wand is one you sometimes see carried by Wizards who are worried they might be attacked.
The feather token is of a sort that druids are rather ambivalent about
The platemail was one of a set mass-produced for the mercenary company Sharnilat, which was disbanded a decade ago. Soldiers wearing it tend to get hit less.
The Axe came from the same mercenary company.
The potion seems to be one to aid healing.

The history and the bardcheck where to determine if the vally or wherever we where. Was or was near a famous landmark that we could use to navigate to a town.

Hmm...
Well, in that case,
Spoiler
the dragon you were hunting was thought to keep his lair somewhere near the source of the river Nod, which is used in a relatively major trade route once it's away from the falls. You're not sure which direction, though.

Greg walks cautiously around the boat. A hundred bad theories and paranoid thinking churns around inside his mind. Who would leave this here and why?
Lorelia however speaks up.
"It looks stable and nobody seems to be around I guess we could take it. It must have been abandoned."
"Do you ever think about what you say there's a million reasons this is suspicious not the least of which who owns this boat. Lets just follow the river its the safest way."
"And the slowest it could take days to reach anywhere if we walk. Lets just take the boat and be off."
"Lets ask your "freind"" Greg then pulls on the cloak (Zerash) he had been wearing to get its attention "Hey cloak what do you think walk in safety or ride in a trap?"
The boat is on the other side of a wide river. How are you planning on crossing to inspect it closely, pull on it, or so on?

You mention the river is placid... does that mean there is little to no current?
Because... well... being a construct means I can just go down at the river bottom and cross it... benefit of not needing air to breath :D
There's a current, but it's not violent enough to cause serious issues for anyone who can make a DC 10 check. You do, however, need to actually cross the thing to get to the boat, and there may or may not be bad things camped out in the water. Nobody's made any effort to examine the water, after all.
