Silly Message Board GamesA forum for any kind of quote games, continuing story games, "What would you do if?" games, or whatever anyone comes up with. Old threads will now expire after one month.
Let us kill our childhood, and raise it to its past glory. I realize I've had troubles maintaining Heal/Hurts in the past, but there were things interfering in Real Life at the time. I have confidence I can see this game to the end.
RULES:
Spoiler
Starting: We start with a nomination round where everyone can nominate up to two Disney Characters. The round will end when there are 20 characters, or after one day, whichever comes first. All characters begin at normal status with 10 HP.
Rounds: A round will usually last about a day, but this may vary, so do not hold me to it. Rounds end when I post something that says "This round is over, please wait." Or something like that. Soon after, I will tally up the votes and post the results, and the next round will begin.
Voting: Each day, you are allowed to make two votes, one to heal a character, and one to hurt a character. You MUST use both votes, or not vote at all. Healing a character gives +1 to a characters health, Hurting a character gives -1 to their health. The rules of voting may vary depending on what day it is, see Special Days below.
GODMODE: When a character reaches 20 Health, they enter a stage called GODMODE. Godmode lasts for 1 turn, and while in it the character cannot be healed nor hurt. Godmode will also cause various extra options to choose from during voting that will have many different effects. After Godmode ends, the character will then enter another 1 turn phase called Cooldown. During Cooldown, the character still cannot be healed or hurt. During this time, the characters health will be reset to 15. After Cooldown ends, the character can once again be healed or hurt, but now to reach Godmode the character's health must reach 25 and the number will be reset to 20. Both numbers raise by 5 everytime the character achieves another Godmode. An asterisk (*) will be placed next to the characters name each time they reach Godmode to keep track.
Death: When a character reaches 0 health or below, they die and are removed from the game.
Special Days:
•Newcomer Mondays: Every Monday, there will be three options for you to vote on. The characters behind each of these positions are a mystery though. Along with everyones usual Heal/Hurt votes, they will each vote on ONE of these options. The option with the most votes will have its character revealed, and they will join the game. The unused characters will not be revealed and will be recycled for future use. Ties will be decided via dice roll.
•Smite Wednesdays: Every Wednesday, along with the regular voting, each participant will vote on one character too smite. The character with the most votes will lose 1/3 of their Health BEFORE the regular heal hurt votes are added in. I ALWAYS round up. In the event of a tie, All tied characters will be smote.
•Double Heal/Hurt Fridays: Every Friday, voting is doubled. You may Heal twice and Hurt twice, in ANY combination you desire.
•Holidays: Certain holidays will be deemed Resurrection days. During a Resurrection day, all participants will vote, along with their regular voting, to resurrect ONE character from the dead. The character with the most votes will be returned to the game, and treated as a new character with 10 health. All ties will be decided via a dice roll.
End Game: It'll be revealed when three characters are left.
This is the thief who likes to hoard,
That loves the bard with the puppet Lord
That admires the fighter with the green-hilted sword,
That employs the Wizard, whose bird is ignored,
That has the gender unexplored
That intrigues the Halfling, usually bored,
That slew a mountain of the goblin horde,
That follows the cleric,
That serves the lich,
That seeks the gate,
That guards the snarl,
That lives in the prison the gods built.
You sappy do-gooders. Sure in the Disney movies Tremaine is a large, hideous hag who has two stupid daughters, but in my interpretation of her character, I cannot help but see her as a beautiful and clever older lady who is jealous of Cinderella, but at the same time, Cinderella is equally jealous of her. Sure her daughters are still two bumbling hags, but they get that from Tremaine's first husband, not herself. In fact, I see them more as lackeys than daughters. Besides, Tremaine is probably the greatest of all Disney villains because not only does she not have magic like so many others do, she has to work against it.
Yes, I will be filling space arguing my own votes, no you are not allowed to do the same. It takes space, and I will only do it on rare occasions.
