Are you sure you don't have any casting gloves? They aren't terribly rare.
However, failing that, it might work to get a Wand chamber built into a weapon or shield.

Aye, I do have the spear still... as for making you more charismatic and/or intelligent... I have a few cloaks and headbands that I'm told, help with those sorts of things.

As you enter the arena you can see the audience but, you can't see anyone in the arena that you are supposed to fight...
I know we have been here the past few days and watched The Middlemen triumph over some challenges, some more difficult than others... but, today we see them experience their most difficult challenge yet.
Then the floor at the far side begins to open... and 3 Huge Creatures are slowly lifted out of the hole... they look like Scaly, Minotaurs with Butterfly Wings and Insectile Eyes...
