Have I told you you're amazing at analysis? Because you're amazing at analysis.
I blame my high school literature classes. I'll never be able to stop analyzing the things that I read or listen to. Sometimes, it's a good thing - it enables me to read between the lines and empathize more with the characters. However, it also leads to alternate interpretations of popular radio tunes that the songwriters probably never intended. Most of them become extremely depressing and/or downright satirical once the lyrics are analyzed to a certain degree. I'll never be able to take the song "Shooting Star" seriously ever again.
Also, I thought it was mentioned somewhere that Serrin dumped constitution...ah, it's in this strip.

I don't think he was forced to ban Enchantment - rather, he was forced to keep the Evocation school. I would expect that the rulers of Kago to place this restriction on all their mages. After all, it provides the most effective spell selection for mowing down an army of Plavaan.
So...this strip hints that Miles received more than just physical scarring during his last spar with Elizabeth. That "accident" was probably one of his Evocation spells gone awry, what with the massive burns it left on his face.

So they just banned a magic school that could give them magical blings, typical paladins and min maxers.
Edit: I thought Plavaan don't have the army and were curbstomped like how Firenation did to Air Nomads (Air Nation, for you fire benders).

As always, Alagaesian's got it right on the money.

Oh wow. That's much darker.
Does it say good things about me that I immediately assumed it was a safeguard against the immoral uses of enchantment?

Okay, exactly how much of Alagaesian's post was "right on the money"?
The "must keep Evocation" part, the theory about his scars, or both? That's a very important distinction from where I stand.

And what's Miles' specialization? Was it mentioned before?

So enchantment spells are not only about making swords and armor flashy (I am not familiar with D&D enchantment).
P.S- Is it okay to make a lore idea about Drows in Murphyverse? They could be A. Refugees from underground kingdoms (either war, plague, or massive cave in that destroy Drow Kingdoms) who are forced to live in the swamp.
B. Elves forced to adapt from the swampy landscape (Dark Skin).

It actually has nothing to do with that. That mostly falls under Transmutation.
Not everything is the same as Elder Scrolls.
Thanks but it doesn't have to do with elderscrolls, whenever a wizard says "enchant armor" in fantasy comic (OLA as one of them), I thought it is connected with enchantment school of D&D. http://danielscreations.com/ola/comics/ep0256.html
Edit: Discover that the word "Enchanting" (making magical weapons and armors, and drawn from all school) and "Enchantments" (Mindcontrol) are different words and tend to get mixed up.

I'm now wondering whether or not I'm psychic...I mean, yes, it is possible to look at the information the comic presents us and draw logical conclusions, but I managed to predict that Miles's accident involved an Evocation spell in my fanfic. That was long before we learned he's a terrible Evoker.

Lexington implied that Miles specializes in Conjuration during this strip.

You're confusing Enchantment with enchanting. Enchanting makes magic items using spells from all schools. Enchantment is mind control type spells.

This has already been explained T. They are Drow. that live in a swamp. That's it. They do not live undergound, they have not lived underground, and they will not live underground. They live in a swamp. It is that simple.

Yes, I suppose so.
I'm working under the assumption that he banned it not for any moral reason but because it was in his view the least useful school of the ones that he was permitted to drop. Which may not have been a wise choice since a lot of those spells could come in useful for all the spying and info gathering he seems to do.
