The "LAR" poster in the room is driving me nuts. I enjoy scouting for clues in the comic and using them to construct Troperiffic predictions. Hence, the "LAR" poster, which is obviously a clue of some sort, is driving me up the wall because I have absolutely no idea what "LAR" could stand for!

Too many question marks at the end. I assume it means Rust doesn't know if his plans wind up ending in nuclear war or just demonic domination.
If he was a demon, how could it happen to Lord Murphy (Lawful Good Paladin) when he summon him? (or he misread a part in the instruction or Kago's god is actually a demon who is disguised as astrid).

Laria, Alavaan, and Runite, perhaps? Maybe he's checking off each country he's trying to get involved in a major world war.
If "LAR" stood for "Laria, Alavaan, Runite", why wouldn't Alavaan be checked and Laria have the question mark? The Alavaan Plains are already in a state of war - Laria is still neutral for the time being.
Lamplight, Alexis and somebody starts with R. Maybe it is not only a hit list, but also serve as trust-destroying list.

I am loving your guesses, just so you know. And I was supposed to put a window in the 5th panel, but I forgot. Derp. If I remember, I'll retcon it in in the next update. Speaking of updates, the next two should be on schedule, but classes end next week and then I've got to study for finals, so after the next two updates, don't expect any more until mid-May.
So If it wasn't a kill list (LAR that is), what could it be?
1. Sucessor destoyer list (either through death or distrust enough to be dropped).

Ooh, good luck Teutonic. And readers, expect a deluge of updates--in the month between AP tests and finals I literally only had 3, maybe 4 classes left that met. I brought my laptop and DS into school and got a new comic up every 2 or 3 days.
^Woot woot. Thank goodness for end of finals turning upperclassmen into teenagers practically high off power.

I bet he feels dumb wasting forcecage on a mouse. It's an expensive spell to cast. Won't he be suspicious that the mouse is gone when he comes back out though?

So, this comic is running such that two Swift-action spells and an Immediate-action spell can be cast in one round?

It's two rounds. Round one is the surprise round, Miles hears Rust coming and casts Quickened Invisibility, then Dimension Doors himself to that scaffolding thing on the ceiling. Round two, he summons a rat right as Rust casts Forcecage and looks to see what he caught.
You think Rust's office is big enough that he can't get to the door in one move action?
Miles makes noise: No action, maybe a fumbled Hide or Listen check.
Miles realizes it, casts spells: 2 swift, 1 immediate (cast between swifts)
Rust comes to door, opens door, casts Forcecage: Move action, standard action.
oh wait... opening the door could be a move action instead of free if hes trying to do it quietly...
