I think that's a sign that we should avoid going left, wouldn't you guys say? We should be able to get around to the right, or we could double back. Tychon is following Red's lead, if no better option presents itself.
We could let an NPC choose a direction, and then go the opposite direction.

Much of a muchness, really. If we're where we think we are.
If Tychon doesn't suggest something, Drake's going to step around the corner. Because what are tyrannical warrior-priests for but jumping blindly into the unknown with their trusty chainswords?
EDIT: So many 500 errors that the board actually slapped me on the wrist for double-posting.
Hi my name is Jericus Kranial Kablez Flange and I have long ebony cranial cable (that's how I got my name) with fibre optic streaks and manipulator tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyepieces like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Erasmus Keter (AN: if u don't know who he is get da hell out of here!)
Tychon didn't make Rapid Reaction, so the Lictor gets to go again!
Shock table rolls for NPCs: Eustacia - (1d100)[13] - may only take a half action. Cool as a cucumber. Norton - (1d100)[64] - frozen in terror until he snaps out of it. Thrax - (1d100+50)[96] - fleeing Rabilas - (1d100+40)[112] - faints
From the first crit, Rabilas is already at (1d10)[1] levels of fatigue. The Lictor makes a Standard Attack.
You know, I don't really find Lictors all that threatening. I mean, heck, when I ran one up against my players they not only spotted it before it could ambush them, but they killed it during the surprise round using only charging melee attacks. So, that strategy should work for Nova.
Even though they were playing Deathwatch. And all four of them are Space Wolves skilled in melee.
We'll see how well this goes.
Fear roll: (1d100)[13] vs. 40 (40 base willpower, -10 for Fear (2), +10 for being Mind Cleansed)
If that fails, Shock roll: (1d100)[89] +10 per degree of failure
Awareness check (assuming Nova doesn't freak the hell out): (1d100)[81] vs. 18 (28 base perception, +10 skill mastery, +10 Heightened Senses (sight, sound), -30 because Lictors are sneaky buggers)
EDIT: Hooray, no fear for me! Even if the awareness roll failed hardcore. I'd consider spending a fate point on it, but considering I'm pretty sure I'm down one or two for the day already (and the tiny chance of passing it), I'll just go with 'Can't see beastie but still in control of myself'.

94 + 30 = 124
"Totally overcome, the character screams and vomits uncontrollably for (1d5)[3] rounds. During this time he is helpless, may do nothing, and drop [sic] anything he is holding. Afterwards, until the end of the encounter, the character may only take a single Half Action each Turn until he can rest. The character gains (1d5)[4] Insanity Points."
