Icy nodded in agreement. "That would be wise. If anything, it would offer me a chance to study this Simmer in more detail." She didn't particularly perturbed by the fact she was contemplating sneaking up on a major villain.

Icy ate the remains of her sandwich with a more sedate pace, but hurried nonetheless. She would help Fox with the dishes and follow him out the house when he was ready.

The pair left his house after all was said and nommed and things in this area of the neighborhood seemed off...in that why isn't there a crazy evil suit of armor trying to take over Bridle Shores.

But eventually, the pair would come across the sight of ponies resuming normal activities, a little shaken up but fine. The more unfortunate ones were dealing with property damage and etc etc.

"Uh..." Night Jewel laughed faintly. Somehow, every pony she met either forgot that she was a foal or forgot that she wasn't just a foal, but this was the first time both had happened at once. She was kind of confused by the fact that Sandy had the best number as well, given what she knew of him, but decided not to argue about it. If they didn't think much of her, she'd be better at lulling them into a false sense of security...

Wait, am I supposed to... I suppose if I ever need to trick her for some reason, she'd be relatively easy. And she's kind of an ominous pony, so needing to trick her might come up.

With that, she trotted away with the others.

The group of ponies would be able to find the heaviest concentration of MEEP ponies without too much trouble. As far as tasks went, there was picking up after the battle, helping to take down barricades, and other things that folks might think to do.

(If somepony would like to handle a volunteer, I'd be most appreciative. Time is becoming a premium on my end. )

He's been trying to take down those barricades on the windows." He pointed at a cream coloured pegasus busy prying a nail off a wooden board.

'Aye aye right away mister sir," The xanadu mare lazily saluted. She wasn't particulary picky on how she had to help, and anyway, physical labor wasn't nothin; to her.

"Taking barricades apart, are you? That seems like my kind of work. I just need to see if I have the proper equipment..." Night Jewel took a couple of small tools out of her mane. "Aha!"

She knew better than to rely exclusively on magic. While her spells worked for most "rat" pursuits, there were times when she needed tools for something that didn't quite fall under the definition of a mechanical device.

In any case, she got to work prying and pulling the nails out, glad to have found a purely legal - if limited - use for her skills.

He frowned, not at the laughing, he knew it was silly and goofy, but it was at Icy's disapproval and reaction. He pinned back his ears. "Okay...no song." He made sure to rid his frown and put on an adorkable smile just for her.

Icy winced a little at Fox's reaction, despite his attempt to hide it. Her ears flattened as well. "I'm sorry... but... it's just... this is a little too silly for my taste..." She hoped that it didn't hurt his feelings. He seemed to like singing.

At this point, with Spark and Pyrite caught up with the time line, it was when the MEEP ponies were starting to let ponies out.

"Maybe we should just try blending in with the crowd nonchalantly?" He suggested.

He looked around, trying to spot his mother to better avoid her. Pyrite nodded once, pulled Spark by the hoof, and leapt into the crowd.

Storm Den nodded with approval. "Yer' good with them tools. Wish Steel Track here found you first. I could've been out there taking care of the weather instead." The pegasus struggled with another nail, finally pulling it and the board out after much cursing.

Storm glared at the unicorn who seemed to be trying his best to destroy a hammer. But he was a little too hassled to correct him.

Sliverpine shrugged and pulled Gearstride towards said set of windows. He also managed to snag a pair of hammers for the both of them and began working on the nearest one.

The pair eventually found some ponies, a familiar herd of ponies, except they weren't scrappy little foals this time being a pain in Icy's flank. "They seem to.....sorta...know what they are doing..." His eyes were on Sandy. "Should we ask them?"

"Why don't you and yer coltfriend over there and go and work on that windows," Storm suggested without looking at them.

Sliverpine shrugged and pulled Gearstride towards said set of windows. He also managed to snag a pair of hammers for the both of them and began working on the nearest one.

Gearstride happily grabbed a hammer in her mouth and began short work of the boards on the windows, the on and off inventor of mostly useless gadgets was good with tools.

That, and the most he'd ever built was a birdhouse in the third grade, and that had to be condemned.

Icy may again notice that the unicorn she sometimes saw helping out at the library seemed to be sporting wings now.

Sandy, in the middle of prying a particularly difficult nail off a board, didn't bother to look behind him. "Yeah...*grunt*...we're gettin' these boards *oof* off these windows. There's a mess of hammers 'n such *come on you little...* over by the lobby." He pointed over in the general direction of the toolboxes. Odd that this pegasus did such a good impression of Sandy; in fact, it was near-perfect.

Fox Trot listened in and then trotted off to the tool box, humming. He grabbed himself a hammer and got work being on the cheerful side.

Gearstride pretty much continued working, though once in a while, when she knew Silverpine was looking at her, she'd flash him some 'sexy hammer wielding filly' poses to get a reaction out of him, for giggles.
