Ah, thanks.

Okay, rolls you asked for in the PM:

Okay... so you're all back together. Not much has changed since you left, so I can't really post IC until I know what you're going to do next.

But tell me. When you guys split off in different directions, do you like being PM'd better, or do you think I should just spoiler it in IC? I like the fact that PM'ing prevents meta-gaming, and it allows me to personalize your experience better. But it makes it look like I've abandoned the IC. I appreciate your input.

I like the PM way, as you said, it definitely prevents meta-gaming, and well, imho it doesn't really matter that you have 'abandoned' the IC as long as we all know that the story is progressing.

QFT i think that having each thing tailored to us is wonderful and anything that reduces metagaming is good in my book

For short splits, PM, sure. The problem with PM is plot-tracking. Either you get these ridiculous QUOTE-QUOTE-QUOTE messages, or you have to bounce back and forth between sent and received PMs AND it fills up the limited space we have in our inboxes.

So, short splits ... PM.

However, for longer splits the best we've found is simply setting up another thread. You might only ever do 10 posts, but it is easy to track, is still (relatively) private .... you have to WANT to be a jerk to search it out ("Find More Posts by X") ... and you don't lose sight of it the way you can with a PM, where you read it once and then it is outta sight, outta mind when you come back to reply.

P.S.: I and lost are back in full swing. Don't ... don't ... don't worry. Don't feel rushed or anything. We backed out when we did so there we are. However, whenever you do want to reintegrate us .... or do as above with a mini-thread, let us know.

Well first thing's first. Glad to have you back PSinger! How was the internship? And how is Lostsole doing?

Second, we can deal with yours and LS31's Goblin Caravan split quest the same way I'm dealing with another split quest I running in Random Adventures, since I already had the trip back figured out anyway. The only challenge is the timing. The Cliffside story is progressing in terms of minutes, whereas a trip across country can be measured in terms of hours. So you'll get less frequent content to keep the pacing accurate.

Internship is, and will be, tough. But all that prelim stuff is done.

Lost has finished his several-days-drugged-in-bed stage. But he is nursing his left arm and will for a few weeks, prolly. Other than that, he is up-and-at-'em.

Ugh 45hrs at work in 4 days...haven't slept in 72hrs...spend the past 10hrs ripping out two engines and dismantling the heads on one...death...would be a kind reward for how I feel. If you guys don't hear from me for a few days, its because I passed out to recoup.

Understandable, Azoth, and a very awesome sounding way to earn a bit of respite.

BTW... my apologies but I believe I haven't given out RPXP yet. That's what I think I'm missing. There was some great RP throughout this. I loved reading it, and I love the CSI: Greyhawk that is going on right now. I'll PM the RPXP to get us caught up.

A rope may work, or you can just make a jump check, DC15. You take no damage if you succeed, since it's only about a 15' drop.

Due to the fact that this whole structure is relatively unstable, I'd like Vir-Sashi to roll a Know: Arch/Eng check to find a secure spot to tie the rope off.
