@lostsole31:
Brownies left in post #726.

Quote:
With that, the brownies step, wave goodbye, and fall through the ground as if a trap door had been opened up. After they vanish out of sight, the ground where they stood returns to the rock, dirt and root it once was.

So...anyone else notice a similarity between Li and Ur-Agal's dispositions?

Can't wait to see how many of you jump up to tell him to be quiet, or club him upside the head.

Heheh, can't take the two of us anywhere without a fight starting because of one of us. What are you guys gonna do with us?

Also...next chance I get...I need to buy tangle patches...or similar.

Just to clarify...you guys don't see me. I am not with you. When we all went stealth mode...Li broke off from the party. So pointing to me in the group is kind of hard to do when I am not there.

I also forsee this bringing a good amount of pain alot earlier than it might have happened otherwise. 'Cause Li won't come out of hiding even if you shout for him to do so.

I'm enjoying the fact that the character who is pretty much built around dumping in CHA is now the face of the party.

Lostsole31, please roll Diplomacy or Intimidate. I know it feels like telling a one-legged man to win a butt-kicking contest, but you're trying to get a person to change his course of actions with words. If ever there was a time for a CHA based check, this is it.

The only PC left without a penalty in CHA is Necahual.

All our faces have left the game. Just a bunch of grumpy, shy, socially awkward monks with an axe to grind. Ur-Agal, technically speaking is no diplomatic. He's kind of a loner himself.

Coanacoch, Li, Ur-Agal, and Vir-Sashi:

You guys have been on a grueling, non-stop march back from Cliffside, then off to your mission, then through the woods all night without rest, and now you've just run like your pants were on fire.

I think, even for Monks, that's going to require a Fort Save vs. Fatigue.

Dang it. It's a Constitution check, not a Fortitude Save. Sorry, I've been short on time, and have been paying the closest attention to rules cross-checking and DM bookkeeping. Why it's not a FORT save though, I'll never know. For this turn, I'll let us all use our Fort Save's because that's what I asked for. At any rate, the DC is 10 +2 for every hour you guys have been up, as per PHB pg. 164.

You have been up for a while. I mean... you didn't even stop for rest when you got to the monastery. Then you marched all night through the woods. But you know what, in stead of keeping track of all those rolls I've somehow missed, we're just going to start tracking now.

We've got about 24 in the woods, and at least 12 hours since your last rest before that. So we're looking at 36 hours with no rest.

I'm going to say you guys are fatigued at this point. We're just going to argue that you've been living off of adrenaline to this point.

Non Lethal Damage in Alphabetical Order:
Coanacoch: (1d6)[2]
Li: (1d6)[6]
Ur-Agal: (1d6)[6]
Vir-Sashi: (1d6)[2]

I don't know if any of you are CocoRosie fans, but my wife was playing a great song by them this morning. It's a break from their usual sound, and my favorite song from them continues to be Beautiful Boys, but this one felt very haunting and bittersweet.

Enjoy.

Sorry for the delays; I've been putting together my post for the last two days. The hard part, is trying to find proper graphics to illustrate my point without getting unnecessarily hammy with the description. After all, it's a D&D PbP, not a novel.

Normally, when I post an image, I try to make sure the image is either from wizards.com or a royalty free website.

This, however, is a bit tricky. The image is royalty free, but they have strict policies on how the image can be used. Even so, nothing has captured the image of the woods I'm describing quite like this image. I believe I'm following the rules of the website's copyright policies. I don't know why it's worded so weirdly; I'm assuming that this website was not developed by an English speaking person and was just roughly translated to capture a broader audience. Either way, I just think they didn't want anyone to make any money off the images, which is fine. I don't make any money off of this.

I simply love the way the artist has interwoven images of animals seamlessly into to vegetation throughout the image, giving the whole forest a sense of sentience that is both beautiful and creepy at the same time.

No credit can be given to the original artist, because I can't figure out how to find his/her name, but I thought the artist deserved a nod nonetheless. So, I'm including the link to the site, and the specific image here.

thanks Azoth. Ill look into what is already made and what seems like a good fit. Since i left, ive just been looking through my books and dreaming up fun characters. Sounds good to me Inex. Ill play it as him having been meditating on things. since i was going to take cleric levels, i was going to go with the healing and destruction domains and call it devotion to balance which meshes well with his take on the Passive Way.

Well... I saw The Hobbit.

I bet Peter Jackson would make a great DM. That man positively knows how to build a dungeon. I know he's not working with original material, but still. Inex = Jealous of Mad Skillz.

My wife made Lembas Bread. We smuggled it into the theater and munched on it while we watched the film.

Spoiler

We were going to sneak in some honey mead as well, but not everything goes as planned. We also now had a jar or gold ring cookies. The wife bought a can of edible gold spray. It rules them all.
