The escaping goblin freezes in his tracks and turns to face the terrifying Vir-Shashi with trembling lips. "Nowhere! Nowhere! Grubnub just tries to get out of the way! Grubnub swears!"
Once Li finishes choking out his goblin, and holds it an extra round just to be sure, he will move to hogtie the little pain. Questions will come later.
Spoiler
Use rope to tie a knot (1d20+3)[22]
Hope he can make a dc 32 escape artist check to get free...when he wakes up
"You're not going anywhere! Get back from the door! Vir-Sashi says...pardon, yells, as he moves towards the goblin. Once Grubnub moves past him, he catches him from behind, holding him by the forearms.
Spoiler
Grapple (1d20+9)[17]
"Now talk! Where are the rest of your group?!" He yealls at the goblin and turns him to face the rest of the team, so they can interrogate small murderer. He will keep quiet, cherking out if he doesn't hear a lie or contradiction in Grubnub's voice.
Grubnub squirms, but is too terrified to put up a solid resistance.
"Tuky went out the window. Tuky ran away. You killed the rest!" He looks over at what's left of the goblin group, as if the answer to Vir-Sashi's question was self-evident.
"Are you trying to tell me that few goblins killed all those people? How stupid do you think we are?!" Vir-Sashi yells at the goblin, ptting his best to sound very intimidating. "Where are the others who attacked the village? Where you wanted to go?! Where did Turky ran to?!
"Grubnub don't know!" Grubnub cries, eyes filled with terror. "Tuky ran aWAY-hay-hay..." He sobs. "Grubnub didn't kill the villagers. Byuchyuck and Grimble find the house here. Grimble says we search the house, so we search the house!"
It doesn't seem like Grubnub is lying, but it doesn't seem like he's telling you everything either. Scared half out of his wits, Grubnob starts to sob.
Spoiler
Everyone roll spot checks and sense motive checks.
Vir-Sashi looks at Grubnub, then looks at the bodies, then at the room. He now notices what he haven't seen before. None of the goblins had any scars or wounds, other than those delivered by him and the others. How could it be they suffered no damage in the battle that must have took place here? And all these damage, crashed doors, ripped stairs - small creatures couldn't do that.
"They didn't do this." He says, shocked, letting Grubnub free. Then he alls on his knees.
He failed. He forgotten all his master's teachings. Haven't he warned him about dangers of jumping to the conclusions? Haven't he told him about observation and keeping cool mind? He had left his bestial nature loose again and innocents have paid. He had striken them in rage and he killed them.
Killed?
He suddenly jumps back on his feet and runs to the closest dying goblin.
"We may still save them. Help me!" He yells as he desperately tries to treat the wounds of the goblin, ripping his clothes to use them as bandages. He needs to make it right. He must save them!
"Somebody help me! We need to save them! Grubnub, you too!" Desperated Vir-Sashi yells at the rest, and quickly runs to help the next living goblin, in panic and hoping that what he did for the first will be enough for now.
When Li reaches the well, he looks for a bucket or something of similar design to lower in to retieve water or whatever other liquid is held within. He knew he needed to work quickly before the creature awoke and started screaming for help. Though he knew screams would come...he needed a few minutes without them.
When Han realises their mistake, he starts running to the meeting hall, swearing an oath to find the people responsible for this and make their mistake right again. While he runs in the direction of Li he yells:
The goblins haven't done all this, the people who did this were with a much bigger force and were much better organized. Let's go to the meeting hall. We need to find some clues about what happened here. When he arrives there, he starts searching for clues.
Li turns with a stone cold face to look at Han. His voice edged like a freshly forged sword, and colder than the depths of winter.
Kill the escaping one! If he is part of the regiment that did this, we do not need them knowing we are here. I will get us the information we need, you kill the escapee and then search the town for useable provisions! MOVE IT NOW!
The look on Li's face sends chills down Han's spine. He doesn't even want to think about the way he is going to get the information. Quickly, Han turns around to go after the goblin named Grubnuk to question him.
Tilmek sinks to his knees as he realizes that he has killed an innocent. The spear should have given it away. No goblin could have pulled that off. The young boys eyes tear up. The passive way forbids escalation! I only used lethal force because i thought they had killed! What I did was murder... he thinks to himself. Still kneeling in shock he says, "Something much bigger and stronger than any of these goblins commited this attrocity." His head sinks to his chest as he points at the spear holding the man up against the wall. "Look how deeply the spear is embedded in the wood. I doubt we could even pull it out of there, and we are strong enough to have cut through through these defenseless scavengers like a sythe."
Vir-Sashi gives the brutish goblin CPR, which opened his passageway again. He'll live, but he too looks rough. All that remains is the final goblin in the far right corner, who looks better than all the rest, but is still pretty banged up, and has only moments to live if left untended.
Grubnub can't run very fast, do to the recent injury to his back, but Han Chun Li has to chase him all the way to the edge of town to catch him.
When Han reaches GrubNuk, he halts him and says: Stop, my friend, I am not going to hurt you any more, but I still have some questions to ask. Do you have any idea about who might have caused all this mess? And if so, where did they go to afterwards?
Grubnub, after sizing up Han Chun Li, realizes that he doesn't stand much of a chance and obviously can't outrun him.
"Yer a monk?" Grubnub states, more than asks as he assesses Han by his clothes. "Monks kill goblins." Grubnubs beady eyes narrow slightly in an expression of what one could only guess is concentration. "But monks don't lie, do they... monks have to obey rules. Grubnub answer questions, Grubnub go free?"
Han smiles at the goblin. Yes, I am a Monk of the flaming hand and we do as we say, that is what is taught to us. After you answer my questions, you are free to go where you like. I'm sorry about our earlier attacks. We mistakenly thought you were the ones who attacked the village. So, do you know anything about what happened here?
Vir-Sashi approaches Tilmek.
"We all made mistakes here. Let it be a lesson for all of us. I shall forever carry the memory of this and we all should." He says, like he wanted to raise his spirits, more than the young man's. He then gets on his kneees and strikes his chest three times, like in some kind of ceremony."I swear to never kill a man or woman, of any species, who I'm not sure really is evil and really did what he or she is accused of. Be my name be cursed if I shall ever break this vow."
Spoiler
DM, from this moment consider all unarmed Damage Vir-Sashi deals to a living, humanoid or monstrous humanoid opponent, to be non-lethal, unless I'll say otherwise.
