Coffee, stop trying to force others' actions to go the way you want them to. If a person makes a mistake, don't try and take the lesson away from them.
In reality, it's not that big of a tactical blunder, and for a naive girl who knows about fighting only from what we've done, it's not an out of character decision. People make bad ones all the time, including smart people. Being smart doesn't mean never making a mistake, just never making it twice.
On that note - you're smart, stop acting like you have no dignity, or thinking like you don't. You do, and it's deserved.
This. Coffee, you need to back off. Seriously.

Not that us being on or off would affect whether someone dies or not. :P In case I'm not on, and in the interest of Coffee's sanity, Kurt will attack whichever Ogre ZMan decides he will. ZMan, please ignore any suggestions from others. Also he'll use crusader's strike to restore some health.
Congrats and will do.

Coffee, please refrain from bullying other players. I will not stand for this behavior. This game is not Coffee and Friends, it's a group, who need to contribute to a mutually enjoyable experience.
action stands, and I don't think it was truly that bad of an action. And if it led to a death, that's be bad, but would certainly be a lesson. Maybe Athedia didn't think it through, happens. Happens to the enemies you face, but I don't go rectonning their actions.
I usually only ask are you sure, if it isn't possible, does not have the desired effect, or is an invalid choice. Mithril firing Magic Missile at an enemy seems perfectly legitimate to me.
I wasn't bullying, and honestly if Natalia made a dumb move I wouldn't be upset if you guys freaked out too.
Let's see who the ogres are going to try and smash this time. And I know, Shiny dying just...
Good example of a place to show Wisdom: "I wouldn't mind if you did it to me" is not an excuse for "I can do it to others." (People misstate the Golden Rule, it's not "do into others..." it's "do not do unto others...")
As for Shiny dying- he had all the time in the world to step 30 feet away from the battle (Exp Retreat still in effect)- his spells would have worked fine from that distance. He died because he wanted to, in place of others.
That doesn't mean it was noble or selfless. Think about his exchange with Miriam.

Shiny died saving Natalia. It was the single noblest and most heroic act we've yet seen. And it came from Shiny. Shiny Gilded Heart, Cardiac Surgeon and Amateur Gold Digger.

I keep thinking that others would be okay with it. I admit that I have trouble putting myself in others' shoes unless I really try and concentrate at it.
Anyway, it's my, Cavelcade, and Achinca's turn, right?
Zman's right though--it seriously was the most noble act we've seen yet. Not much I can do in response but try to rip out his killer's throat. Wish me luck!
EDIT: Dammit, 22 damage isn't enough to finish the brute...Though if Miriam uses her strength domain enhancement bonus and gets really, really lucky...
Great, you guys all now think I'm a sociopath or something, don't you.
EDIT: That was a nice hit, Cavelcade. I think we took him down together. Achinca, may Miriam please heal Natalia? After that we can finish off this ogre next turn and work on the leader.
No, I think you are not used to working with groups sure, but not a sociopath. Actually a sociopath would be highly charismatic and we would all probably agree with them at every turn.

Thanks, Athedia. And this round actually went okay.

Coffee
stop telling us what to do. Natalia can step back and fire her crossbow and get sneak attack damages. She does not need to be healed.
IF you want to play Miriam just take her over.
Frankly I am tired of the metagaming, the mean comments, the taking over of the game and the bullying.
I will take the rest of the night off to calm down.
Zman, if Kurt needs healing. Miriam will do it. If not, she will attack the blind ogre with her staff. OR whatever else you want her to do.
I'm not bullying you and I don't see how I'm being mean! The reason I'm throwing out every suggestion and idea is that if I think of something and don't mention it and people die as a result, it'll be all my fault! Please stop accusing me of things I'm not doing! I'm not the raging ******* you seem to think I am!
And besides, she already attacked in melee, and I was just thinking healing Kurt right now wouldn't be entirely necessary is all...
Natalia is not going to die anytime soon.
And honestly I am getting tired of you asking questions about how powerful my next attack is and things like that. When you do I sometimes want to (somewhat childishly) attack using someone else or using a different spell just to show that I still control my character. I have had issues with people godplaying my characters before and it is one of my biggest peeves.
Also please don't tell us that we made the wrong decisions with our moves. We might have another plan in mind, or might have slipped up a little but we are human.

It will not be all your fault, stop thinking that. I noticed that I could have actually attack using one of my metamagics from farther away but that didn't make it my fault that I didn't weaken the ogres before they got to us. I also didn't strongly petition for my idea of looping around, does that make Shiny's death my fault? No.
EDIT: Double post because I wanted to respond to Coffee
I don't think you'll be able to get me to stop blaming things on myself, I've always done that, accepted responsibility and blame for everything that happens. But I'm sorry guys.
Coffee, what you mean is you are not doing it on purpose, or thinking of it as bullying. Clearly other people do - that doesn't make either of your experiences invalid; it does mean it would be a good time to take deep breaths and figure out why the other person might feel this way. Putting yourself in another's shoes is a skill, like any other, and can be learned by practice. It is a very important one - and will increase your wisdom stat (or perhaps, how you use it - are stats maybe more accurately portrayed as potential?).
In any case, Coffee, what I would suspect has happened here is what people see is you posting every other post, with your reactions and also with what you think everyone else should be doing. This brings the focus onto Natalia all the time, and makes the OOC thread about what you think we should be doing. This is one reason I have suggested the edit button as your friend. People just want to be allowed do their own thing, even if it's a mistake. If they want advice, they are able to ask for it.
Take the elves' advice though - being a counsellor sucks ass. Just let people do what they want, it's what'll happen anyway, and will be less stressful for all.

Well put Cavelcade, remember that these events are all happening at around the same time so if you don't write your reaction until the next time your turn comes that makes perfect sense.
Coffee - stop it. Stop and think of the effect your words are going to have on the others in the group. No-one has called you a burden, just that you have some reactions that are overbearing. There is only one way to solve that - stopping, and thinking. That is the wonderful advantage of a message board, you can stop, and you can think.
Don't just post every thought, ask yourself first if we want to hear it, and if we need to hear it. And don't ever tell someone their decision was bad - it was theirs, and that's all that matters.

I'm actually a Sociopath. I've been using this game to secretly collect important data on your lives for nefarious purposes. I'm the BBEG. /Sarcasm

And Zman, why did you think Mithril would die first? She usually tries to stay away from the fighting.
Had Mithril stepped into the open she was getting three arrows after that acid arrow.

Argh, you're right Cavelcade. I'm sorry for being such a burden on you all.
If you guys want to punish me or kick me out of the group or something then I probably deserve it.
No one is punishing others, we are adults.
