Power went out this morning. I'll update when they fix it (on my phone now).

Re-rolling the attack against Riley per Second Chance. Good time to use it.

Edit: Still a hit, but at least it's not a crit.
Damage by instance:
Jarl: 15 physical, 14 physical, 9 necrotic
Riley: 27 necrotic and weakened (save ends)

Jarl had an immediate action before the turn started that teleported himself into it's square and then attacked it, pushing it to where it is now.

Finally, some decent rolls! I think I hit both gargoyles and a wraith, so that's good, and it's radiant damage, too, so the wraith is penalized. Especially since it's now in the Glowstone's effect, so it'll take even more penalties. And no hit on Jarl, either; I was expecting none, since I would've needed a 20 to hit, but still, nice.
Oh, and those attack rolls do take the Sinkhole's penalty to radiant attacks into account. Otherwise they'd be at +20 against the monsters.
All but Wraith 1 was hit, so the remaining three are in their new positions.

Teleport into the right Gargoyles square, sliding it to N2 (Baldric of Assault), attack with Blastback strike.
Attack vs Fort: (1d20+21)[35]
Damage: (2d10+9)[20] thunder damage (still halved? Not sure on the duration in the weakened I got on my turn), and push it to L2 on a hit.
No worries, it's easy to miss.

Riley's attack hit, so you can use the Dimensional Step (and Jarl gets a free attack).
Man, high tier 4e really has a lot of immediates and conditional options. After playing with 4e for over a year now, I think I like how the Essentials classes play better than (most) of the old classes, particularly the Knight, Slayer, Thief, and Scout. I've been playtesting some 5e and it's very different. Feels and plays more like older editions (1e and 3rd, oddly enough).

With all the sliding and teleporting, actually, its hard to get a handle on what the map looks like. Any chance we could get a mid player phase update?

Here's the updated map. For simplicities sake, I had Riley's actions happen before Elises, and (with NecroRebel's permission) will slide the northern Gargoyle only 1 instead of 2, to maintain the flank. Riley's and Jarls out of turn attack still target Gargoyle 2 - it just gets slid down and Gargoyle 1 takes it's place in the flank. Easiest way I could figure it.
That sounds cool to me. It's a bit confusing knowing which gargoyle is which, since they're not numbered on the map.
Quote:
Also, regarding the damage on Dimensional Step. You still get your static mods (weapon focus, enhancement, etc), but you don't get your ability score mod damage, as it's not 1[W]+Dex or whatever.
It's your game and your ruling, of course, but I read it the way Shadow_Elf does, assuming PChubby copied the text right. It just adds 1[W] to the damage roll; it's not a second attack, not a second damage roll, and the Dimensional Step power doesn't have the weapon or implement keywords anyway, so it's not actually using the weapon itself. It just changes the damage line of the basic attack from 1[W]+mods to 2[W]+mods. Letting it get even non-ability static mods a second time gives him way too much damage; that's essentially like giving him a +20 static modifier with an encounter power, just below striker-level.
Ah, didn't realize it wasn't a weapon attack. We'll leave it as is for now and I'll look up some official ruling for later.

Also, the monster tokens are numbered...the numbers are just a little hard to read. I think using Google Docs will make this easier.

On Jarl's turn he does an additional +6dmg to gargoyle1 since he flanks w/ Riley.
I included that on the free attack, but didn't on the area attack since I didn't know exactly how it works. If it works on any attack I make on it, weapon/implement whatever, then it does need to be added on.

Ditzie is another good resource for mapping. Maptools definitely has its advantages as far as keeping track of all your data, but it is labor intensive.
So I don't suppose we've bloodied either of the gargoyles yet, have we? It's unclear from the descriptive text, and I need to know for my boons.
Reverent One is still inside my planned Burst... does anyone have any way to extricate him? With his +6 all defenses my hit is less than 50%, but the damage would be high if I hit him. I might just resort to another spell.

Neither of them is bloodied, correct. I'll "flip" their tokens (replace the white border with a red border) when that happens.

I thought as much, but didn't feel like taking several OAs for walking away.

If those are all hits, I might just use Frostburn anyway with an action point, since my Vulnerable will add lots of damage. Jarl's second wind defenses should provide a decent chance of my missing him.
EDIT: And in the interests of honesty, I just realized that Winged Horde does not provide my INT mod to the damage roll. So that should be d6+9, not d6+15. That's too bad, as its my go-to spell.

You hit both Gargoyles and Wraith 2. Missed Wraith 1.
Also, I've got the map converted to a Google Docs Drawing. Here's the link! Anyone can edit it, so you move yourselves around and such.

Edit: Scylfing, I need to update the IC before you post, so gimme a minute. You guys dropped both of the Gargoyles (they went from just a smidge above being bloodied to negative). Also, this would probably influence whether Shadow_Elf spends that AP (I'm guessing not, now).

Cool, good thing my browser crashed before I could put up the IC post I was working on. Since I don't get a chance to recurse the gargoyles, I won't take my bloodied boon and instead take the boons when they die. That allows me to use Caiphon's Intercession, if either Riley or Jarl would like to take an MBA against the wraiths (it does deal a bit of damage to you in return though). Otherwise I'll just take the +2 from Fate of the Void.
The bad news is, I'm getting a Google Docs error when I try to open the file. It says I need to reload (which I've done several times to no avail) or download it directly, which I can't do and which kinda defeats the point anyway. I'll see if I get the same error on my work computer tomorrow.
If the gargoyles died before my turn, then I would rather use Phantom Bolt on the wraith for a chance to slide it into the Glowstone than Winged Horde. Were they dead before or after my turn?

They died after your turn, forgot to include the tiny dragons in the update.
Try logging into your google account, if you have one. I've had that problem before and logging in seems to solve it.

Well I tried logging in with my account (and I'm glad I did, I'd forgotten my password so it was good to get that worked out), but that didn't fix the error. I'll just have to see if it'll work on my office computer tomorrow.
Edit: well okay that worked on Safari; apparently it's just that my browser on my phone won't load the Google Docs map.
