The Atlas is also goofy but it has that whole "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man" menacing smile thing going for it. The guy who drew that one up was obviously taken to the Nutcracker when he was a child... and he was screaming in terror the entire time.

Just struck me who well thought out this actually is from Sonya's side. She's trying to get with both Gary and Zii, and no matter who she met, she would have pissed off Yuki. Granted, Zii would have been harder to manipulate, but still.
I'm a bit cureious about what she means by "maybe you can help" in the first panel? Is she referring to pissing off Yuki? Given that the stress is on "you", it kind of implies that Gary is special in his competence.

Personally, I support most of them. While the comic has no real hero, it has no real villain, either. Even if many of the actors have selfish motivations, you can still (most often) relate to them; this is stuff that probably happens all the damn time in real life (well, exept all the sex and unlocked doors, but you get what I mean).

Gary's just a wimp, but that's no reason to despise him that much, Kiley made one (major) mistake and disappeared (unfortunately, she was an interesting character). I even feel bad for Yuki,and can't help wondering if she'd be more balanced if she hadn't been traumatized by daddy's tentacle porn comic when she was a sprout. I used to not like Yuki, but she seems like she's getting better, or at least really trying to.
I pretty much consider every other major character scum. I don't consider Erik a major character at this point. Zii: Scum. Didi: Getting Scummy. Sonya: She makes me like Zii a whole lot more. Matt: Wow guy, put it in your pants for five minutes. Amber is a psycho.

We don't have to support anyone; we just have to find them funny and interesting. It is somewhat analogous to Seinfeld where none of the four main characters were decent people*.
*Seinfeld even lampshaded this when Elaine met the bizarro-versions of Jerry and co. (who were good people )
I'll better stay away from the topic of Seinfeld but maybe the point of this and a surprisingly and shockingly large amount of current programs is... people watching it (or reading) can enjoy themselves being so much better people than these despicable characters on screen (or at least thinking of themselves as such).
Not that I really hate Ma3's cast that much but thinking of other shows... Well, Ma3 is really mostly... normal-selfish people thought some of them have weirder ticks.

This leaves it down to the fact that Yuki prioritized smacking Gary about rather than making sure Sonya didn't achieve her goals. Which is just plain stupid from a tactical standpoint.
