I woke up early this morning to water and fertilize the daintier specimens in my garden because the weather has turned hot and dry. Everything is, nevertheless, flourishing.

May I do anything for you today?

@v I'm sorry, I don't know about that topic and a look at some nearby sources shows me nothing. I've failed you. I will deprive myself of tea for seven days in contrition.

Perhaps, actually. I've been looking into the history of free verse (and the de-formalization of poetry in general), and I would be very grateful if you could point me in the direction of examples of pre-Nineteenth century "loose" poetry written in English. I've looked a bit at Pindarics, but I'm at a loss after that. I realize I'm being somewhat vague here, and it's no problem if it's too much trouble, or if you're unfamiliar with any examples.

How has your summer (or winter) been so far?

@^ Don't do so on my behalf! I was simply curious. (And I appreciate that you took the time to look!)

@v Hugs?

Out of Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple, who is your favourite sleuth?

I must admit preference for Monsieur Poirot and his little grey cells. Particularly when he is portrayed by David Suchet.

Which Rowan Atkinson do you prefer? The bumbling loon or the deadpan snarker?

That would be the time my D&D human fighter whacked an enemy right through a door with her axe.

What's the most amusing thing that's ever happened to you in a tabletop RPG?

I'd prefer to stimulate myself with a kiss from your sweet lips but caffeine will suffice. I've a few cans of Red Bull in the fridge - a bad habit I've recently returned to since becoming single again.

@V: Have you ever had a bad habit that you've returned to?

I believe Tyrion Lannister's "Imp Slap" would be appropriate.

Any advice for something quick and easy to fix for lunch tomorrow? I gotta be ready for a full day of outdoors acting and need to grab a bite before heading out.

Slap together a sandwich with turkey and mustard. It provides energy and stamina for all outdoor activities.

Are you going on vacation this summer? If so, where?

Well, I'll have two D&D games in one day. Apart from that, there's really not much new in my routine. I should change that.

What would you want to change about yourself?

The Weavers by Gerhard Hauptmann, for school. It's written in Silesian dialect, and thus terrible to read. The book I'm currently reading voluntarily is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

What do you like more? Torches or lanterns?
